I almost didn't recognize John Snow. He cleaned up well.

I'm excited for anything Marvel after having not been in a theater since Rise of Skywalker

I think this one could be very tough to pull off, but I’m very intrigued. Cool to see Robb and Jon on screen together again, reminds me of the GOT good old days.

I know absolutely nothing about this, just give me Salma Hayek cleavage and it’ll be alright.

My only complaint is I have to wait until the end of this year for all the consequential MCU movies to start rolling out

If the timing is accurate, does this basically guarantee a "No Way Home" trailer tied to Black Widow release?

I'm confused where this ties into the timeline. I thought they existed before all the Avengers stuff like a really long time ago.

Right there with you. This is the inevitable down-side to the Infinity Saga wrapping up - we're starting from scratch on a whole new slate of movies, many of which we have no idea where they're coming from or where they're going.

The hot asian chick is even named Sersi. Someone kill Sean Bean and it can be a reunion.

This pretty much sums it up. Even after watching Wandavision and Falcon/Winter Soldier I'm just not feeling it with phase 4.

The last time this seemed to be the mentality with the masses we were gifted with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Eternals feels like it will be the conduit between Earth and whatever cosmic threat is up next. Kang, Galactus or something/someone similar. It will be interesting to say the least.

Same.

After doing some cursory reading, they are a superpowered celestial group with mythological origins. There are Eternals who are the beautiful, clean people we see in the trailer. There are also Deviants who are their mutated, monstrous cousins. Thanos is actually some kind of mixture of Deviant and Eternal.

If I had to guess, the Eternals have stayed quiet because nothing on Earth has given them a reason to come out of hiding. Thanos's actions in Infinity War and Endgame will bring the Deviants to Earth leading to the Eternals needing to intervene.

But I'm no expert.

I do think the MCU will never build the hype of Infinity War/Endgame with the new phases without going overboard with trying to up-the-ante with the plot. You can see with Captain Marvel that fans roll their eyes at adding too much power to new characters. Like we have a new character, so he/she HAS to be more badass than the old characters.

Thanos with the Gauntlet is the most powerful, intimidating, and badass villain in history IMO. Adding in gods, Eternals, celestials, whatever with villains who somehow have dimension-bending powers just gets too far into cheese land. I'll be curious to see how the MCU handles it. Fortunately they've had mostly homeruns, so I still have high hopes.

My understanding is that it's going to be all over the place at first.

We've never seen universe-building in the MCU where we truly understood what Feige & Co. were doing, so I'd imagine the fan disorientation is across the board.

I did some marvel wiki browsing a while back and if my memory isn't shite, I think I saw in some newer iterations Kang the Conqueror is a descendent of Dr. Doom...so F4 in a couple of years could prove to be pretty pivotal?

If you told me in 2008 how MCU would've rolled out the infinity saga I would've said no fricking way. So I've got some faith, as long as they don't DC it up and try to get everything done in like two movies

Which begs the immediate question - Did The Snap wipe out half of the Eternals/Deviants, too?

Looks like a very watered down version of Kirby's cosmic concept. Would be nice if they'd attempt full Kirby as they did in Ragnarok.
