When Did Nashville become a Traffic War Zone?

I've literally been in Nashville for 6 hours. Between I-24 and I-65 South I saw 5 different accidents. Behind the State Capitol 1/4 of a mile ahead of me I saw a stupid driver (guess the race, lol) jump the curve, damage the vehicle and start driving on the wrong side of the road. If I hadn't stopped proactively the driver would've plowed right into me.

I saw a crash happen in front of my hotel and just in general I've seen a bunch of cars with front end damage, rear end damage, missing bumpers, scratches, dents and other damage to indicate they were in an accident.

Since when did Nashville become a traffic war zone? How do you all deal with the traffic? I swear the only place where I've felt like I had to be more defensive in terms of driving was LA (Los Angeles, not Louisiana). This is utterly crazy.

Seriously I leave tomorrow and I feel like I'm going to be lucky to make it out. I made the mistake of driving over I-65 on Broadway to go over to Hattie B's at rush hour and wow what should've been a 5 minute drive took 20. Never mind traffic was stopped both directions on I-65.

I was here 4 years ago and I just don't remember it being this bad.

I seriously think Nashville drivers are worse than NOLA drivers which we all know is really saying something.

Its been known as Crashville for decades, baw. I try to go through there from 3-5a or 10-3p. Anytime other than that it's a freakin nightmare.

Yep many trips to relatives in KY were majorly delayed due to wrecks in Nashville

I love the downvotes. These people are either part of the invasion or completely clueless. This is how it happened to Las Vegas

I left 10 years ago, it was a shite show then, when you have 3 major interstates meeting downtown, in a city that was designed to be small, this is what you get. 15 miles from work 45 minutes to get there.

The same thing happened in Maine. You can tell what areas have been annexed by rich people from Massachusetts- because everyone is speeding and driving aggressively.

It's exactly the same here in French Polynesia. Just yesterday some coonass in a bass boat blew right by my shitting pond and flung its contents right into my Bonsai garden. That jackass was doing 70 knots or my name isn't Me'a'lealumi'na'a'ah.

Banning cell phone usage in cars would fix a lot of it.
