1.Seems paddle craft must be numbered, a one-time fee of $15 as long as you own the craft.

2.Lifetime Licenses Hunting, Fishing, or Combo may be purchased up until June 1, 2022. After that date none will be sold. Everyone will buy annual individual licenses for their sport.

I would be perfectly fine with a fee increase if I had any confidence at all that the money would be used to improve the hunting and fishing resources in this state.

But I do not.

I only see the lifetime fee being increased, where does it say they’re getting rid of them?

the final version of the bill will be an annual fee, we all know this, they never stop taking money once they have made up an excuse to do it

Someone in my office said it was about safety and if they just find my pirogue floating they know who to look for
I said if it was about safety, they would provide the registration stickers free instead of charging.
Hes mad now.

Damn it, quit posting this. That's not what it says. The original text said the price was increasing to $1000 for the combo license after June 1, 2022, and you could no long buy Hunting or Fishing alone.

I believe that increase was nixed with an amendment.

§649.1. Lifetime hunting license. Any Prior to June 1, 2022, any bona fide resident of this state may obtain lifetime huntinglicense. The lifetime huntinglicense shall be in lieu of the followingrecreational huntinglicenses: basic hunting, biggame, primitive firearms, bow hunting, the Louisiana duck license, the WMA huntingpermit, and the wild turkeylicense. After June 1, 2022, the license shall no longerbesold, but shallcontinue to provide to any holder privileges in lieu of basic hunting, deer, waterfowl, and turkey huntinglicenses and shall permit WMA access.

Read the law as written dumb arse. You have 1 year to buy a lifetime license and have it grandfathered in.

HB691 hasn't become law just yet, so there is time to call your legislators and file complaints.

I thought this was required on the federal level to receive federal funds?
