Band of Brothers vs Saving Private Ryan

Obviously a little different since one has the benefit of being a TV show with more room for different stories/events but SPR as a movie likely got more focus and effort seeing as TV wasn't quite the creative behemoth it is today.
Although BOB was one of the first shows that really showed how special a contained TV series could be if treated similar to a big budget movie and we see the benefits of that today with some awesome shows especially on HBO.
I think I like Band of Brothers more. Something about the epic nature of it compared to the contained singular story of SPR as well as it being grounded in actual events rather than a fictional story. Band of Brothers goes from Georgia, to England, to France, Holland, Belgium, Austria. All over Europe and a longer time frame with some of the biggest moments of the European theater captured via the eyes of Easy Company. You really get to see more of the life of a soldier in BOB compared to SPR. You get to see the development and cohesion as a team which I think helps a lot for emotional payoffs as things start to climax from episode to episode.
Not to take away from SPR though because it gets me every time and it itself is a masterpiece. I think BOB shows it's slightly lower production value compared to SPR especially in the battle scenes. Saving Private Ryan seems to shine a little brighter in those moments especially the opening D Day scene. It also has a fair ammount of character building for only a 3 hour moving and you feel it each time the squad loses another guy.
They're close but I think if I had to pick one to rewatch I would consistently choose to go through the story of Easy Company over Captain Miller's search team.

Band of Brothers
SPR can never be as good as the first time you watch it.

The Pacific was better than both.

I've watch BOB probably 6 times. The scene where they are flying into Normandy and all you hear is booms and the sky lighting up makes the hair on my arms stand up every single time. BOB is about damned near flawless in my opinion.

I don’t even think it’s remotely close

Band of Brothers by a mile. I get so mad about the Upham character that I can't watch SPR again. The anticipation of Upham's failure makes me physically ill.
