It's on TNT and it's really the first time I've watched it since it came out.

I know the movie gets a lot of shite on here because of how the black community and media propped it up as some landmark moment in cinema, when it's clearly nothing more than a decent marvel movie.

With that said, Boseman fricking killed it as T'Challa. Really is a shame we don't get to see him in that role, or any role any more.

Boseman was great in every role he was ever given. A life lost too soon for sure.

Michael B Jordan was really good as Killmonger as well. The movie wasn't some amazing achievement in cinema but it was a solid MCU entry. Sucks that they killed off Andy Serkis though dude is a fantastic as well

They were both great in their roles but that movie was greatly overrated.

Yep, despite all the over the moon praise by the media it was a good Marvel movie and it's very disappointing we couldn't have him around to do more. RIP Mr. Boseman.

yes it was a good movie that was at best average

the shite it got was the over the top propaganda that claimed it was the second coming of jesus christ so people were opposed to that and not the actual movie itself even though the movie was very racist and wasnt even trying to hide it

I think that's universally agreed upon. Such a tragedy that he fought such an epic battle.

There were some minor issues I had with the movie, but not so much the story or characters.

Yeah I didn’t think the movie itself gets shite, just the hype gets (justified) shite. That’s all. The movie itself is good. It’s not great, but it’s a solid Marvel offering. And Boseman is great in it (and the Avenger movies as well). Such a sad story for that dude. And by most accounts he seems like a completely great guy.

I agree with all of this. The movie is probably around the midway in Marvel movies, very average but I thought Boseman would be the new face of Marvel and the Avengers. He was really good in the role.

I don't know if I've ever felt more awkward then when I turned the corner into the theater to see BP for the first time and was met by an entire theater of elderly black men and women from a local nursing home. Zero exaggeration here, the theater was probably 90% nursing home, my wife and I, one other younger white couple, and the rest was black people of all ages. I thought the elderly may have been confused what the movie was about.

He was a fine actor but his character honestly didn’t have much personality.

If they were elderly Black people like you claim I'm sure they didn't have a clue who or what T'Challa/Black Panther was about. Only the younger Black audience and Marvel comic geeks would know what the Black Panther is all about.

What was the beef Namor and BP had with each other ?

Seems pretty random, a guy who lives in the ocean vs a guy who lives in central Africa.

Yes he did as did MBJ as Killmonger. Both characters were very good.

The new one will suck, because i don't think anyone proposed can carry the film the way he did.

Bozeman did nothing but greatness for that movie; it was the writing and over the top wokeness that made it a lesser movie than otherwise. He was a gifted actor and seemed like a wonderful person.

Dude played Jackie Robinson, thurgood marshall and James brown well. It’s irritating his best know role is black panther, even if it is a marvel movie.

I liked message from the king as well, it’s a little gem on Netflix I think.
