Like, they're practically wasting his prime years. Management thought just spending only on bats would return into success. It's a travesty Trout has only played once in the playoffs What team would make most sense for Trout?

Why would any team trade the best player in baseball? He is under contract for like 8 more seasons at like 30m

No, he chose to resign with that shitty team for the cash so let his arse stay there and rot while the baseball writers fawn over him with meaningless MVPs.

if he decided to join the dodgers or yankees you would hate him for it. he stayed with the team he played for his entire career, so you hate him for it

makes sense

Signing 35 year old Pujols to a 10 year deal is a large reason why they haven't been able to really fill out the roster around him.

I will give the Angels credit, they have spent to try... Upton, Pujols, Hamilton, Wilson, etc... The FA they've gone after have faltered though

He signed for a shitload of money to live in Southern California knowing the Angels organization and owner are trash.

Enough with the pity party for him. He may be one of those guys where lifestyle and location are more important than winning. If so, there’s nothing wrong with that. If winning is the most important thing, then he took the most money available at the time and has to live with knowing he re-signed with a shitty organization.

In any event, let’s stop acting like it’s the crime of the century Mike Trout isn’t in the postseason every year.

what? They've spent over the years to put a team around him, you can't fault them for that.

I am ok with the current state of things. Astros success aside, it would Be a damn shame if he never got a few real playoff runs

B/c they suck arse and their farm system is one of the lowest ranked. They would be better off getting a boatload of prospects than having one of the best in baseball collect stats that won't help them do a damn thing.

Because that’s an insane take, he is in no way over paid. He would be making the same money, probably more, if he played for dodgers or Yankees.

He produces every year. He didn’t choose a shitty team because they would pay him more, he earned that check

They have two fantastic prospects in Added and Marsh along with Upton, Ohanti, and then they have solid pieces in Fletcher and others....

He should've waited and walked..gone back home to Philly.

Played at home with a fun young bunch Hoskins, Bohm, Realmuto, Harper, Nola, Wheeler, Eflin,etc..
