Hill logged four starts for the Saints in 2020, posting a 3–1 record. He threw for 928 yards and four touchdowns, adding an additional eight scores on the ground.

Time for the Swiss Army Knife to carve up a 17 game season as the starting QB.

Here Jameis Hold My Beer, and don't throw it to the other team.

I don’t care if it’s Taysom or Jameis.

Let the better man lead this team to another NFC South Division Title.

Sacks, turnovers, or poor completion %?

We aren't going anywhere with either of these 2, but Taysom gives us the better chance. Winston is a turnover machine.

Well, since neither are the solution, you would want Winston to start because he'll get the better draft pick (and he probably has the better ceiling, although the worst floor).

My 2 cents here, Taysom isn't the most secure with the ball either.

Edit: Between pass attempts, sacks, reception & rushes. Hill had 230 touches last year and turned the ball over 9 times, 3.9% turnovers per touch.

In 2019 Winston touched the ball 732 times and had 33 turnovers, 4.5% turnovers per touch.

Obviously worse, but like I said Hill is not that much better. And, Winston was getting destroyed behind that line (some was his tendency to hold the ball too long, but it was a bad line in pass protection).

yep.

209 rushing yards on the ground done so in a very non aggressive qb run scheme.

He also couldn't see, and was in a shite scheme.

Why fo people keep repeating this about the bucs o-line.

It's the same line tom brady had minus demar dotson.

It’s worse but you also consider Hill is a much more conservative playmaker yet still had too many turnovers. He had quite a few dropped picks. I think he had a lower average passing depth per target (how far the ball travels) then old man Brees even. So not only does he still turn the ball over, he also hasn’t shown he can be a big pass play maker.

They replaced both the RG & RT

Even with that, you don't have 60 hurries, 54 hits, and 47 sacks without oline issues.

To put in perspective, Brady had 34 hurries, 58 hits, and sacked 21 times

Taysom Hill, the only entity that was able to slow down Alvin Kamara last season. Great way to nullify your $100 mil RB and best playmaker

4 games, per game averages with Taysom

12.5 rush att
59.3 rush yd
.8 TD

2.5 receptions
12.8 rec yards
0 TD

11 games, per game averages without Taysom

19.8 rush att
97.5 yards
1.2 TDs

6.6 receptions
64.1 yards
.5 TDs

Exhibit A on why he will not be your QB.

AK rushed for 4.75 ypg with taysom as qb.

I agree i think Payton needs to do a better job of scheming the offense utilizing Taysom and Kamara. Especially in the receiving game. Change takes a bit of time.

There are 150+ vacated targets from last season. Assume MT absorbs a lot of them, Kamara gets his usually, and that still leaves Taysom to see an increase in targets. Not too worried about the receiving game
