Bill Gates, co-founder and former CEO of Microsoft, was apparently known for being a “womanizer” and throwing pool parties with naked strippers, even after he met soon-to-be ex-wife Melinda Gates.

Gates biographer James Wallace said the billionaire had a well-known “wild lifestyle,” but the press, namely The New York Times, passed on the salacious stories.

Apparently Gates liked to “frequent Boston’s notorious Combat Zone, with its porn shows, strip joints, and prostitutes” when he was at Harvard, the biographer noted.

After Gates met Melinda in 1988, the computer genius “continued to play the field,” Wallace claimed: “He continued to play the field for a while, especially when he was out of town on business, when he would frequently hit on female journalists who covered Microsoft and the company industry.”

Gates’ “womanizing was well known, although not well reported,” the author noted. Apparently the Times passed on such stories as to not stop “the flow of information” the paper was receiving from Gates.

Wallace emphasized to The Daily Mail on Monday that Gates “wasn’t just this little computer nerd. He did have a life back then. … A lot of those Microsoft kids back then, they were young guys in pizza-stained T-shirts for two or three days working on software code.”

“Then they would have some pretty wild parties, where they would go out and get strippers in Seattle and bring them over to Bill’s home,” the author added.
