I haven't played the course before and don't think an opportunity for a practice round will occur.

Any insider knowledge on the course? Strategies of the tees, into greens reading greens? Will be Playing Blue tees so if anyone has ideas on "lines of the tee" and/or hole strategy I would really appreciate it.

I looked online and did a hole-by-hole overview and it seems fairly straight forward.

Overview of my game:

Driver avg. 260 carry (can move the ball in all 3 directions)

3W avg. 245 carry

2 Hybrid avg. 230 carry

3I 210-220
4I 200-208
5I 185-197
6I 175-183
7I 160-170
8I 150-158
9I 140-147
PW 125-137
GW 115-122
SW 85-100
Optional LW max 75-80 (Not sure if the course calls for a Lob wedge

Thanks in advance.

Get LSUAlums green reading book, make your round 6 hours and make your opponents hate you due to slow play.

That should spot you at least 4 strokes

I don't know the course as well as others, but it is a pretty straight forward resort course. My only advise is to PUTT and get accustom to the speed of the greens. They are usually quick and in great shape.

From the blue tees, the entire course is in front of you. There aren't really any lines to worry about. There are a couple shorter par 4s it may make sense to lay up on, depending on the wind. I'm struggling to think of a spot that I've been in that I would consider "trouble" that wasn't obvious from the tee. You can see the water and see the trees.

Look at the weather forecast and see what type of shots you’ll need to hit into the greens. You’re going to need a consistent approach shot. Have you had experience playing links golf? It might be windy

Stay left on 18, carry the bunker. Everything slopes right to the water

I have played it once and not recently. The course is damn near on the beach so it could be very windy. I remember a lot of pampas grass...

Confused?

Cut, straight and draw.

Also 3 trajectories : high, mid and low so total 9 windows to hit

Clearly I am not on your talent level, but I at least thought I had directions for moving a ball figured out. I was wrong because I only know of two, left to right and right to left. What is the other direction you are moving the ball off the tee?

How do you move I straight?

As for the course, it’s a typical resort style course. Wide fairways good greens that are larger than normal non-resort greens. Greens roll true and are soft. Makes you think you are better than you are, which is kind of the point of a resort course people typically play when on vacations. You will enjoy. Good luck.

Moving as in from point A to B. Not the best choice to describe the act of hitting 3 different directional shots.

Green speeds decent? 10-12?

Ok Tiger. Hole 1, you want to hit a medium traj cut. Hole 2 definitely calls for a high draw and forget anything but a low straight one on 3

Yes. It’s a fun course depending on how hard the wind is blowing.

Didn’t say I can master all 9 but I’ve been playing for almost 40 years and Can usually hit the shots I see.

Thanks for the info(if accurate). But from the overview and others, it seems right there in front of you and the key would be Wind and accurate approaches.

okay that makes sense.

I too can hit the ball straight, cut, draw, and flight it low, high, or mid.

Now if only I could figure out when it was happening
