Poker in the Baton Rouge Area

I'm not aware of any places to play live poker anywhere near the Baton Rouge area. New Orleans casinos have poker rooms with solid action but Lauberge has closed down it's room for months and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to reopen - there is even talk of changing it to a sportsbook. Good home games with good action are difficult to put together. Where can us baws play live poker?

I'd make the argument that the live poker scene is coming back. Casinos are now allowing poker pros to video their sessions and create youtube content with hundreds of thousands of subscribers and millions of viewers.

Such bullshite that they're not reopening their poker room. I know it's shitty, but maybe Hollywood or Belle can rope off an area and squeeze a few tables on one of their decks

Baton Rouge has a poker club. I've never played there but they are always advertising cash games/tourneys.

Won’t be at all, actually.

5th St Poker club got raided spurred by Lauberge for doing absolutely nothing wrong. It's closed now indefinitely. One of the owners was concerned about his church image/reputation.

Where have you heard this? I'm told they just got new chairs and employees said it should be opening soon.

The Democrats took this away years ago. Used to be fun to roll into a bar and play with strangers. Good times at The End Of the Line in Liv Parish

Went to the casino a few weeks ago and the bartender said the poker room was changing to video blackjack or some shite.

Liquor in the front, poker in the rear...

They are if the house takes a rake.
