That's one of the huge issues with society today. Me. Me. Me. No one puts their heads down and just works. Everyone wants glory and that is what has spawned this bullshite cancel culture. Look how amazing I am for destroying someone's life by finding an obscure 30 year old newspaper article or twisting a statement out of context to unveil obvious (insert homophobia, racism, fascism, communism, or any other words they don't actually understand).

I couldn’t have kids.

But if I did. This is the exact kind of She Bat who I would want informing me how to raise them

Isn't it remarkable how all of these #science liberal mayors and governors are now ignoring CDC recommendations in favor of continuing unnecessary lockdowns and mask restrictions?

Home schooling, private schooling, and vouchers for school choice. We should get all of these things out of this shitshow.

Vouchers are where it needs to be, can you imagine the education a kid could get for the 10k a year that we spend per kid on public education. It would be glorious.

Hell, you could get together with like minded friends and have one excellent teacher teach 5-6 kids a year in a home environment for your voucher money. Teacher could upcharge and get about 5k a year additional from each family and make damn near six figures, kids would thrive and probably only be in school for 4-5 hours a day and would test thru the roof.

jesus christ. i dont think the construction crews who build bridges and buildings are babysitters and i haven't been asked to do their job.

nor have i been asked to process meat & veggies and load onto trucks to distribute to my local supermaket.

guess what else i cant do? refine gasoline and deliver it to stations all across the country.

so by their reasoning parents should be able to handle their own medical diagonses if their doctors are unavailable.

wtf is their point? are they saying parents are doing just as good of a job or are they saying teachers have it soooooo rough? EL OH frickING EL

Wrong
Many people did their FULL TIME job while teaching their children better. All we realized is just how entitled teachers are.

Many systems are going to continue providing a virtual option. I bet we see a lot of families do that.
I hope they don't keep providing them. It gives Karen way too much power to still freak out about the virus and it harms the in-class experience of those with normal parents.

School is at fricking school.

I don't have a problem with actual homeschooling and think it can work for some people

But the zoom homeschooling which is what I assume you're referring to absolutely needs to end and it should have ended after last spring session nationwide.

Respect is earned, not demanded. It’s like the scene from Batman, where Bane asks the little weasel “ do you feel in control?“

If you have to tell people you are important, you’re not important.

I think the one good thing is the visibility it gave to the type of material and application of that material in the classroom.

I think the general interaction of the classroom helps tremendously in development and that needs to come back.

Kids need to properly learn how to interact with each other to be functional in society as they get older.
