Well that’s a nice pic of that cell bearing down on my Lakehouse.

Already got a nasty looking hook in Mississippi and other tornado warnings in Tennessee
More storms back in Texas... things in Louisiana are quiet for now but should pick up in the afternoon

Palate cleanser.
I call it 'Collision'. I waited in this spot in the ditch along Highway 9 just north of Irricana, Alberta hoping all these amazing elements would come together.

Meteorologist Nick Mikulas
Man is it humid. I’d imagine having hair is quite the hassle this morning. Fortunately, my life hack of going baldish (I have wisps, and I’m not ready to give them up) early really works out well on days like this. Severe weather still looks likely across the area today, and we should see some development of that before noon. It’s so disgustingly humid that I just walked outside to pretty much full sunshine, and a heavy drizzle. What a combo.
Models are showing storms firing up around 10:00-11:00 AM this morning. Anything that can tap into the instability could become severe. We are in an enhanced risk for severe weather over most of the area, which is level 3 of 5 on SPC’s scale. The main disagreement on models is, do we get that late morning development, or do we wait for the main front in the afternoon? I’d say, be ready for severe storms from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. That’s a fairly brief window, but it could be causing problems around school pick up time. All modes of severe weather are possible. Morning profiles of the atmosphere show some pretty incredible instability in place already, and with storms already kicking up out in Texas, it looks like quite the active day. Hail, and isolated damaging wind are the main threat, but a couple tornadoes are possible in the state. I’ll be watching radar until it clears. There’s now a severe thunderstorm watch, right up to the Texas Louisiana border.

why am I not surprised there's a city in Texas named Gun Barrel City?

Husband to extremely pregnant wife: "Baby, we need to come up with our son's name before he's born. How can we set him up to make sure he catches the eye of every travel ball coach in America?"
Wife: "Oh I think I got it... Braxton Mississippi"
Husband: "IT'S PERFECT!!!!!"
