So you moved from the homeless encampment by uptown climbing to the one behind purple cow?

Please don’t set fire to the dumpster anymore. Do you know a guy named LSUCoyote?

Maybe .... but none of my boys ever dated Stephanie, Sonia and/or Ellen - so maybe not.

But in case - your room needs to be cleaned!!! And it’s time for dinner.

BR has gotten really dangerous the past several years it feels like. It’s always has been, however now, with over 120 murders last year, it feels worse.

About 2 years, I went to the Lake After Hours, then picked a few items from that little Walmart. Also, would go a few times when it first opened around 2005

I was there with my kids within an hour or so of this happening. Got out of church at about 12:40, made a stop at Robert's then to this WM before heading home.

Can't put my hands on the receipt to see what time we checked out, but guesstimating it was about 2:45.

Looks like that gas station is boarded up, and it was just recently remodeled and less sketchy looking.

Noticed this today. Seems like it was boarded up overnight.

This is my neighborhood. I've lived here my whole life. My family got in cheap in the late 60s. This area, Highland and Lee, is not going down any time soon. As long as BR is the capital and LSU has students everything here will stay fine.

This is the OT, so obligatory "I'm sorry you're poor and have to live in a suburb straight out of A Wrinkle in Time."

All the new apartments on Burbank give me great pause. If things continue like they are, a lot of higher education will be virtual.
Those apartments will be the next skid row. However, we have the creek there, also we are on "high" land. We know the neighborhood for Webb Park is backed into streets literally called Plum Baroque. There is a clear line of demarcation.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, will lower the value of Highland Road. Other than LSU going broke.

That neighborhood Walmart is a stone's throw. I asked my slightly-twitchy fiance if he thought I was in danger after today. No.

I probably waved to Sean Vincent Gillis a few times.

A good grocery store between LSU and downtown is what we need. There used to be one at the north gates on Highland. It's time for a neighborhood Walmart for that area.

For now, my very middle middle class arse will continue to feel very safe in this area.
