Combined SEC records entering today from our first 7 SEC series: 93-63
Combined SEC records of the next 3 weekends: 21-42
Only Kentucky is sub .500 from our first 7 series in SEC play at 10-11.

It would be so Mainieri to go 8-1 and have this team make an SEC tournament run and then lose in a super regional.

Idk, take 2 out of the from better teams than these. 6-3 is realistic. Unless Hilliard pitches like he did this weekend again. Every one of these teams is worse than every SEC team we have played thus far.

Well, one of the reasons our first 7 opponents have good records is they had to play us.

Based on what? Losing 2out of 3 to the #1 team in the country? Take a look at the 3 series before this weekend and tell me we didn’t outplay all 3 to what realistically should have been 7 out of 9.
Now we go play 2 of the 3 worst teams in conference and another who we should take 2 out of 3 from. I think you have a little recency bias.

2 out of the 3 we are playing are 5-16 in conference.
