FOX 26 article
quote:
A posthumous pardon request has been submitted to Texas officials on behalf of George Floyd for a 2004 drug arrest that was done by a now indicted ex-Houston police officer whose case history is under scrutiny following a deadly drug raid.
quote:
Harris County's District Attorney supports the request for a pardon. "As part of our ongoing investigation of police corruption exposed by the Harding Street killings, we looked into posthumous relief for a 2004 drug conviction that ensnared George Floyd in the criminal justice system so long ago," District Attorney Kim Ogg said. "Prosecutors determined in 2019 that Floyd had been convicted on the lone word of Gerald Goines, a police officer we could no longer trust; we fully support a request that the Governor now pardon George Floyd from that drug conviction."

If I were abbot I’d just pretend like the pardon got lost in the papers on my desk.

I’m honestly ok with this. Ogg is a tPOS but that dirty cop ruined a lot of people’s lives and families so why shouldn’t those potentially affected be exonerated? Of course Ogg is singing for the choir here, but at the very least it should be investigated

Can't wait to hear Sean Hannity have a near aneurysm discussing this

Cool,, now posthumously convict him of counterfeiting and drug possession in the Chauvin incident.

Oh Wow....my opinion of this guy has completely changed

So instead of the testimony of a lying criminal (IF he testified - apparently, that was a "no no" to Chauvin) versus a cop, it is now testimony of a lying criminal versus that of a cop that apparently lied in some other cases (with no evidence ne lied in this one)?
Yeah...Abbott should definitely pardon him.
Yeah...Abbott should definitely pardon him.

He still held a gun to a mother with a small child while his fellow thugs robbed her during a home invasion. May he be repeatedly violated by a red hot poker in hell.

The same can be said about Chauvin.

The two most virtuous people the last 100 years: Mother Teresa and apparently George Floyd.
