I really don't get this guy's beef with weed shops being the hill he wants to die on of being the thing that makes Louisiana look trashy. There's plenty of other shite that makes this state trashy. Literally, trash makes this state trashy (on the side of the road).

Smoking cigarettes makes you stink, and is trashy for that and other reasons, like the deleterious health effects. Most respectable people that do it hide it as much as possible.
What about smoking weed makes it different (ignoring, for the moment, the good things that come from smoking weed)? I'm asking genuinely.

"Things are bad, let's make them even worse" seems like a poor strategy for improvement.
Again, I'm against criminalizing weed. I just hope weed doesn't become a part of everyone's daily life in seeing it, smelling it, etc.
That makes me a horrible retrograde to all the enlightened folks on the OT.

For one, you're hyper focused on one aspect of THC consumption when in reality dispensaries deal with many forms. It's ironic because you don't seem to give a shite about the 100s of pharmacies in LA pilfering opiates, the 1000s of liquor stores on every corner, and lets not forget the dollar general popping up on every corner. physical dispensaries will be the least of societies concern.

Weed is not a drug, it is a naturally occurring plant that can be cultivated. And just because YOU'RE not OK with it doesn't make you the arbiter of what other people are OK with.
