The INCONSISTENCY of Paul Mainieri

I truly do not understand. He pulls both Helmers and Money wayyy too early when they still have plenty left in the tank. Then he leaves Coleman in the game for the longest outing of his career and the wheels fall off...anyone care to explain why?
Either way, we cannot hide how abysmal our bullpen is. Pathetic

It makes a lot of sense. It’s what Paul Manieri does.

He is flitting above this discussion

Pulmonary has exhibited many times that his situational decision making is far below average. Then he blames everyone and the kitchen sink for his ineptitude.

He did not pull *Hellmers early
He threw 3 innings after starting Tuesday
Last thing we need is for him to get sore

Manieri has been a "hunch" guy since he came to LSU. It's hard to understand a lot of his tinkerings with the lineup, pitching rotation, etc. He's been riding the success of his hunch moving DJ LeMahieu to 2B and inserting Nola at SS for much too long.

Not taking up for him in any way
There are some decisions that have no justification what so ever
But I’m not going to fault him for pulling Hellmers

No, but I will be irate if Hellmers pitches 1/3 of an inning against Grambling

with a 8 run lead - he was trying pitchers!

If Hellmers throws before next Sunday I’ll be livid

Can we ask Storz to come back across the street and pitch on sundays for us?

Paul had a gut feeling.
He should have a doctor take a look at his gut.

My favorite today was bunting Jordan Thompson to move the runners to 2nd and 3rd off a pitcher he was crushing. Then comes Beloso and Bianco to get outs 2 and 3.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Paul has never managed pitching situations good. He actually fricks them up often.
