I had the honor of seeing several ECW events. I've been to two house shows at the old Great Hall on Airline/Greenwell Springs. I went to one at the Exhibition center next to the Centralplex. I also went to November to Remember @ UNO. All the events were incredible and highly entertaining.

Amazingly one of the worst PPV's they ever put on crowd-wise was November to Remember at UNO. Freakin' card sucked arse as well - nearly every match was a tag match.

I was lucky enough to attend an ECW house show at the Baton Rouge River Center; it was one of the most fun times I’ve had at the live matches. I was able to chat with both Sandman and Rob Van Dam before the show; both were cool and personable. I was kinda fricked-up and went a bit fanboy with RVD. He laughed and even did his bit with the thumbs. Good times. Francine was there and was fine as a motherfricker, Taz cussed us out... ECW was rasslin’ as it should be!

Every time I pass by the old great hall on airline, I hear a little EC Dub chant going on in my head.

Y’all missed out on Mid South Wrestlin’ baws!

As it’s been said, the New Jack doc by Vice is absolutely must see. So damn thoroughly entertaining.

Remember watching ECW on UPN, I think at 2 AM
Best of Joel Gertner (NSFW)
Loved Sabu
Of course enjoyed the hardcore and acrobatic stuff with New Jack, Sandman, Sabu, RVD, Tommy Dreamer, and terry Funk but they also had some very good technical guys as well. Lance Storm and Jerry Lynn had some epic matches.

First time I saw ECW was June 1996. Just flipping through the channels one Saturday and saw it. Fell in love with it. Watched the show where Francine turned on The Pitbulls and joined Shane Douglas. Watched the Dudley Boyz birth. Watched them invade Raw at the Manhattan Center.
I have at least 4 ECW dvd’s on my shelf. The Rise and Fall of ECW is still one of WWE”s best selling videos ever.
Plus you can’t forget Beulah McGillicutty, Dawn Marie and Francine. Francine looks good as frick still

So CSB, when it was coming to Westwego me and the boys camped outside major video all night long so we can be 1st in line when tix when on sale the next morning. Got out there around 8 pm. Well 9 am rolls around and not one other person showed up to get in line. So pretty fricking stupid on our part but honestly we didn’t care bc we got front row opposite camera so we can be on TV the entire time.
At the show we ended up in a wrestling magazine spread with Luca and quotes of us too.
Saw somebody mentioned joe brown arena. We were up top first row and sandman came out and literally poured about 2 beers on my head as he stood over us. It was hot as balls though. Amazing times. Nothing better than an all out ECW chant.

Went to an ECW show in the late 90's in Dayton, Ohio. I am not into rasslin but my buddy was a huge rasslin head.
It was pretty fun though. We had front row and just got drunk. Almost got dunked on by one guy flying from the turnbuckle into the crowd. There was a fold-up chair next to me and the guy landed on the chair which forced it into my shin bone. Hurt like hell.
ECW literally did not care about crowd safety. They expected you to get outta the way.
What you see in your gif is exactly how it was. Rasslers in the crowd the whole show. That shite would never happen now -- too much potential for crowd injury.

I went to both of these and met Tommy, Taz, and Paul at the Cortana Mall for a meet and greet. Tommy was super cool and Paul said they were thinking about bringing a PPV to Baton Rouge which sadly never happened. Caught them again on the West Bank like a year later after Raven had come back which was a lot of fun as well.
