Mock draft experts think so as they consistently have Pitts coming off the board before Chase. Different position? only slightly. They say Pitts is a TE, H-back, WR, however you want to use him. I just don't see it and think whoever is looking for the top receiver is this draft and takes Pitts ahead of Chase is going to regret it. HOw do you see it? Who do think is going to be the bigger time playmaker in the NFL?

Chase is the better WR and will produce more.

Pitts creates matchup problems for defenses.

He could be

He’s similar to Calvin Johnson in measurables, just not as fast

If Pitts lands at an A+ offensive spot and Chase lands in a black hole, you can make a case for him

Pitts will be a fine receiver in the NFL

Pitts is a better prospect because he’s elite at a position where there are so few elite players. He will be a top 5 TE immediately and will cause matchup problems for defenses

The drop off from TE1 to 2 is huge compared to WR

Who is throwing passes to each of them? That matters alot.

If you want offensive production, you go with Chase.

In 1 year at LSU (2019), Chase had more yards, touchdowns and nearly the same amount of receptions than Pitts had in his entire 3 year Florida career.

Pitts is unreal but so is Chase. Chase will likely put up better numbers, but won't bring as much to an offense as a phenom like Pitts will just due to his positional versatility.

I don't consider Pitts a TE. He's a wide receiver with the physical profile to play TE. Looks like Michael Thomas when he's running slants and can box out just about anybody for a ball.

Chase is mean though and so strong. Testing off the charts.

Depends what teams they get. A shitty team can really slow a career.

It'll depend on who their QB is. If I told you in 2009 that the QB that New England drafted in the 7th round and never caught a pass in college would finish hs career with 600 receptions - 3X as many as #7 overall pick Darrius-Heyward Bey, I'm guessing you would call me crazy.

Chase is the top player in this draft, imo, unless one of the QBs is better. But I would not take Trevor or Fields before Chase. I just don’t think either of those will be elite.

Chase was 19 when he dominated the best corners in college football.

One is ideally an X
One is ideally a Y
They likely will both be (barring injury) studs at their respective positions.
