No because Trump and Putin respected each other. Joe and the Democratic Party have been slurring Russia for years now. Putin doesn’t trust the democrats because they corrupt everything they touch.

I agree this would never have happened with Trump in office. I don’t think Putin necessarily respects Trump as a person but I think he feared Trump’s volatility and ruthlessness, and the power of the office.

Highly plausible that Putin knows the Dems will take over Ukraine, and wreak their usual cultural havoc there. No way he wants that on his Border. And I'd bet that if the Ukes have to choose between Joe Biden's government/culture...or V. Putin's...they'd take V. And seeing that the US is up for grabs, they have little time to make a choice, and virtually no allies for their cause.
IMO, Ukraine should cut a deal with Putin to avoid massive bloodshed and an ultimate defeat. Sad, but the US going down to Transnational Progressives will affect all free and sovereign Nations in the World. Negatively so. Ukraine and Taiwan the first to go down.
