What I Don’t like about O

He is always talking about bringing back the 19 offense. I never heard another coach talk like this. Makes me really think he thinks he got extremely lucky in 19 and is trying to duplicate it. Seems kind of pathetic.

I mean, that's exactly what happened. Orgeron had a general idea of what he wanted, but hit the lottery with Burrow and Brady.

I get your point. It does sound very shallow. Nobody can run "Joe Brady's Offense" but Joe Brady. If it was that easy, coaches all over America would just break down every game of our 2019 film and create the same success. Im sure we might see some concepts of it but im not buying into the hype.

He’s talking to his target audience

It’s not about duplicating the 19 offense. We’ll never see that again and O knows that. He’s not wrong for wanting a lot of the same schemes and route concepts though.

We gon be betta on defense than we was under that loser Aranda. Bo got us ready

He should have kept slinger around then.

coaches have been trying to duplicate Walshs west coast offense for decades. do you think they're all pathetic too?

Pathetic might be a little strong. But I get it. Who wouldn’t want the best QB in all of college FB, and the best LSU has ever had, run an offense surrounded by first round picks at literally every skill position with the hottest young mind in the nation calling the plays?
Problem is, which does sound a bit desperate, continuing to hope for that to magically happen again. It’s a lot to ask. Probably too much. If he means, we need to run an offensive scheme like 2019, which I think is what he means, and has said in some of those instances, that makes sense. But continuing to sound like he’s hoping to recreate 2019 does come off as desperate, which I think he is....and maybe should be at this point.

Why wouldn't he want to model every future offense on the 2019 offense, which was the best ever in the history of college football? Would you you prefer he seek to model every future offense on the Les Mile's offenses instead?

Better than him saying for three years that he wants the USC offense from 2004

If he really liked that offense because it was really good

what I have never understood, and never will...is why would we abandon the best offense in college football history? Why would any coach do such a thing? Don't change until they show they can stop it...right?
This just makes me believe even more than I did at the time, that Brady was the brains, and Ensminger really never grasped it like was advertised. If he did, we wouldn't have change a thing.
It appears under Brady, that no one could stop us, even if they knew what was coming. That is what was so exciting about that offense.
Still baffled!

God you O haters are pathetic. I mean really, just sad, uniformed nonsense
Posted on 4/19/21 at 10:44 pm to topcat88
It was ALL Brady. Don’t kid yourself. It’s too obvious now.

O isn’t very articulate, but this is football. I don’t care how you talk. Just win games.

Nothing wrong with setting high expectations/goals.
