This was the first time I've legit seen Stan PISSED off.

He said a high school team could have closed that game out. He called out Bledsoe and Ball, without calling out Bledsoe and Ball specifically.

Unfortunately, he seemed to be the only one pissed about it, Bledsoe and Ingram looked like they could care less, and Zion, well it's hard to tell because he's always smiling off the court.

Hopefully this finally leads to Bledsoe seeing the bench.

It would be a good long term fit. Randall sucked here and now he’s an All Pro. NOLA sucks the life out of professional athletes.

Yeah we’ve had some really really bad loses (IND debacle and the recent POR game), but this one hurt much more. They are running out of games and the team absolutely needed this one. It’s too late in the year to be making this Mickey Mouse mistakes

And yet the season’s not over. Still more games to embarrass ourselves

It's Obvious the players don't respect SVG

He said it's probably his favorite place to play besides New Orleans.

That's pretty much what every player in the league would say, MSG is the "mecca"

Still not a great sign that he’s saying that tbh considering one of his best friends is on the team, they are better coached and have punked us 2 times now.

Luckily we have another 3-4 years to audition for his long term services.

We need to get the fricking loser arse clowns off this team and that includes Ingram if we determine his DNA is not all about winning. We need guys on our team that hate to lose more than they like to win. I don’t know if we have a single player on our roster right now with that mentality (maybe josh hart?) and that’s a problem and it has reared it’s ugly head in about 25 games we were in the driver’s seat in and lost because at the end of the day we don’t have guys that want it more than the other team does.

Literally every player in the league lights up when asked about playing there, but almost all of them shun the team (see Durant, Lebron etc)

Omg the pelicans lost to the Knicks twice in year two of Zion’s first contract!

I guess Ja Morant is going to pay us to be on the squad in a few years.

He lit up like a kid on Christmas. More concerning than I originally thought after watching it tbh. That’s the happiest I’ve ever seen Zion answering a question.

And Zion doesn’t strike me as a guy who worships Bron or Durant and wants to take their path. Zion talks up Melo more than anyone and out of the big name players in the league he seems to connect with him the most. And Melo was a Knick.

Look we don’t have to worry about it for 3-4 years, but the way he answered that question after a Loss was not a great sign and we can’t put our pels colored glasses on and just brush it off.

Didn’t Randall have his best season at the time in New Orleans?

right but we need to make a push in the playoffs next year( I know always next year. It’s obvious that we can’t stand “ Pat “ with this team. This off season will tell all about what Griff is all about

I love Zion but that post game interview definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Our problem is we just don’t have anyone on this team that hates losing more than they like winning

You advocate a good way for an organization to keep losing players and discourage players wanting to come here.

I don’t get how my post you replied to does that at all. I am simply pointing out we need players that hate to lose and we should do anything in our power to bring them in.

Lonzo is a free agent. If we get “outbid” or do a sign and trade how is that advocating the org to keep losing players by deciding not to pay top dollar for a mediocre player that doesn’t care that much if they win or lose games?

In regards to Brandon. I love the guy. I’m team Brandon. I’ve got Brandon Ingram autograph cards everywhere. I love his interviews. I think he’s very good and can be great. Zion is arguably a top 15 player in the league right now. I think Brandon could also work his way into the top 15. That’s why I’m hard on him. I see potential greatness in him. I just want him to hate losing and he does not give me that vibe yet. He seems satisfied to put up good numbers and have moral victories instead of actual victories. I just want to see a bit more fire from the guy. This team needs the Brandon Ingram that was throwing punches at Chris Paul a few years ago. He’s lacked competitive juice and fire this year.

Lonzo is chill as hell. Bledsoe is all but checked out. Adams is cheeky, but your 7th best player probably can’t be the leader of your team. Hart is hurt and again, your 5th or 6th best player shouldn’t be the leader of your team. Zion is young and I think will be our leader, but we need someone to bridge that gap and and hold both themselves and teammates accountable even if it means cursing someone out or punching someone in the face at practice. Brandon has the skill and the stature to be that guy for us.

Stan Van Gundy said we wouldn’t be punked this season. We have been punked repeatedly. This is a top 4 seed team if we can just grow a pair and suck it up in the 4th quarter, not even 100% of the time, but half the time. We can’t let these guys off the hook anymore and if you are Griffin you have to do something this offseason.

And to be quite honest, the solution is not Beal. I’m not even sure it’s a third star. It’s about finding better shooting Naji Marshalls, Josh Harts, James Johnson types. Heady players that leave it all on the floor, despise losing and can make teams pay for collapsing on Z and BI.

He said he had his best year at the time in nola. He hadn't been to NY yet when he was on the pels. So his best season at that time was in New Orleans. Do you get it now?
