Look, it was a bad shoot. I think just about everyone can see and admit that.
But let's skip the whole part where we wax poetic about the kid not doing anything wrong whatsoever. Isn't it weird how every single officer involved shooting seems to begin with resisting arrest, fighting cops, or running from them?
Maybe don't do that and this shite really doesn't happen. That's not even REMOTELY saying this was a good shoot, just that the whole "he did nothing wrong and showed his hands like he was commanded!" narrative is bullshite. He ran from police and only surrendered when he was cornered.

Weapon lights exist to gain situational awareness and avoid exactly this type of situation. The use of one with the strobe function as a disorientation device is so asinine. Having several hundred lumens thrown in your face is disorientating enough as anyone whos had a flashlight shown in their face at night already knows.

Exactly. And all the Twitter losers going “why would her shoot a kid” as if the cop is supposed to know this little thug (who did and was shooting a gun at 2:30ams) age.
Cops frick up sometime, just like everyone does. That’s why these body cams are important. There should be consequences
nobody cared about this “kid” before he died. anyone who says they did, yes even his family, is full of shite. who can’t account for their 13 year old at 2:30am? who lets their 13 year old run around with thugs with guns on the streets?

More emotionally charged turmoil is on our horizon I see. More cities have to burn, people lose their shite, get beat up, and be put out because the world is an imperfect place and there’s bad cops in law enforcement.
Water is occasionally moist, and sometimes it’s damp, but it is always wet.
Maybe, while everyone’s at it, they can get pissed off at the cops that get killed every year by bad guys. If not burn down cities, maybe just light a little teeny tiny candle?

Who knows all the circumstances? It was a late Sunday night. Maybe his school is doing distance learning. Maybe his mother works nights.

It’s easy for me to look at the video and say the cop was too quick with the trigger. But cops are put into situations now where it’s either potentially lose your life or potentially go to jail for manslaughter. We need good cops for a functioning society but soon all the good ones will be gone and no one in their right mind will want to be one.
