I'm sure you could go to N Baton Rouge and find a couple people with higher body counts than a lot of serial killers. Doesn't necessarily make them serial killers, though.

Apparently it’s going around on Snapchat. And then today a couple of people in the LSU parents group on FB asked about it. They were promptly shot down by other parents as irresponsibly spreading rumors. The details of the rumor are that there were 2 dismembered bodies discovered in addition to the one found in the river. Not sure how we would not have heard about dismembered bodies if there were any.

The most recent serial killer, shot to death multiple homeless people under the north boulevard bridge and abandoned houses, in and around the area.
And we have Kenneth Gleason, who shot multiple black people to death, one off of Alaska Street in the Bottom, and another off of Florida Boulevard, and shot up a black families house. Jury selection is under way this week. If convicted of the most serious offenses of 2 counts of first degree murder, Gleason will spend the rest of his life behind bars, without the chance of parole.

I saw the BRPD (or maybe it was the city, I don't remember) posted to facebook this morning warning that there's been an increase in carjackings around the city lately and warning people to not walk to their cars inattentive and to make sure they look inside their car before getting in. If there really is one and they want to keep it on the down low, that would be a subtle/not so subtle way of warning people.

The FBI estimates at any time there are a minimum of 50 ACTIVE serial killers in the USA. That's an old stat too, from when America had 30-40 million less people. So yeah, I just assume there is somebody working my city at all times.
