Recruiting can be contributed to Cain. He's definitely not a players coach as I've heard multiple times from players through the years that he's an arsehole. His in game coaching decisions this year have been laughable. So I ask what does Paul bring to this LSU team?

Cain is useless

This is stupid, same thing is said of most coaches including Skip
They aren’t there to be your friend

A contract through 2024

Why keep starting these stupid threads?
Call the athletic dept, cancel your season tickets, tell TAF you aren’t donating anymore
Starting threads on an anonymous website isn’t going to get him gone

I’m not melting

What does he bring to the table?
A record of 603-260-3 in the SEC
Overall record of 1,467–752–8
He’s a HOF coach

No matter what has happened this season or last those are still facts
I don’t get the point of starting threads acting like the man has never accomplished anything & is a shitty coach

If you want him gone you need to call / stop donations / cancel tickets

Posting on a message board isn’t going to get him gone

His biggest strength is he is an MLB style manager... he calls the shots while letting the assistants do most of the coaching.

His biggest weakness is he is an MLB style manager... he calls the shots while letting the assistants do most of the coaching.

It shouldn't matter the names. There's numerous of them out there that can't stand his guts.

Since the bats have been given some pop back he brings nothing to the table. His offensive deficiencies and terrible pitching decisions were heavily masked during the dead bat period and now programs are blowing past him. One or 2 absolutely loaded rosters aside he’s been abysmal since the switch.

MLB coaches are now using analytics to shift infielders due to scouting hitters. With every SEC game televised coaches can scout every SEC opponent. They also may use a pitcher to face one batter or use 3 or 4 pitchers in an inning based on the situation. I see none of this. I do see some of this being done by other SEC teams.

In 2018 and 2019 LSU baseball lost 53 games. The most in b2b seasons since 81 and 82.

For anyone who thinks LSU baseball's problems are new.

That's back from before Skip Bertman was coaching.

Also LSU baseball's road record is 13-32 in 2018, 19, 20, and 21.

The 2017 CWS finals loss was really the end for Paul Mainieri.

He brings nothing to the table and should’ve been fired 2 or 3 years ago.

I agree 100%, but refined it slightly for you.

His biggest weakness is he is an MLB style manager... he calls the shots while letting the assistants do most of the coaching In a sport that only allows for two paid assistants.
