Oh so kinda like all the “mask up LA” signs out there? And all the numerous videos of people freaking out over someone not wearing a mask?

All the article says is that 8 people got the variant
What happened? Did they sneeze once or did they die?
Whenever they don’t specific the outcome and just talk about cases I always assume it’s because they all had good outcomes. So who cares?

omg I'm going to run out and get an experimental untested unapproved DNA therapy for a cold with a 99.997% survival rate.

And this is how I know the OP is full of shite. mRNA technology has been around for over two decades at this point. And if you don't like the idea of it, there is the JJ vaccine, which ain't new at all. A viral vector vaccine (which is what the JJ is) produced by JJ has been used for a decade against ebola in Africa. But by all means, take your chances on a virus produced in a Chinese lab vs a vaccine peer reviewed by American doctors ya commy
Why isn’t it FDA approved then?

Watching people perform mathematical and mental gymnastics to justify avoiding getting a shot has been hilarious but it’s becoming pathetic.

Amen.

This most certainly goes both ways

"If you need another reason to get vaccinated, here it is," said Dr. William Schaffner, a Vanderbilt infectious disease expert, in a recent National Geographic article about B.1.1.7. "Not only is it more contagious, but when you are infected with it, you're more likely to get serious disease.”
I don't believe you.

I disagree. If you’re confident in the vaccine, you typically would want to spread the word and get others to take it. You’re probably taking it for the good of the public at large, not necessarily for your own health.
It makes far more sense for someone who has taken it to spread the word than for someone who hasn’t. Is Strannix trying to save everyone or ridicule them?

The study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, indicated that the B.1.351 variant of the virus—also known as the novel coronavirus—was found eight times more than individuals who were unvaccinated, or 5.4 percent against 0.7 percent. Clalit Health Services, a top Israeli health-care provider, also helped in the study.
That's not necessarily what it means; it's equally logically plausible that the vaccine or vaccines don't protect against this variant too well, but do protect against other variants quite well (like 95%--but not 100%!). In that circumstance, you'd expect this variant to be a higher percent of covid cases in vaccinated people.
Also, the sample size here of vaccinated people who got the variant is so small that it's very susceptible to random effects.
I'm not saying this shouldn't be studied--it should be. I am saying that very few people understand statistics well, and the widespread misreporting about vaccine efficacy statistics has been a problem for a while.

I'm curious to see what happens when the vaccine is fully approved in a month or two. Will be a tough day for anti-vaxxers.
