Will human life expectancy just keep rising or eventually plateau?

Life expectancy has been on a steady climb in the past 200 years, from about 34 in 1800 to close to 80 today according to some data. I read an article a few years ago that said most people under the age of 40 may live to be 100.
Obviously advances in medicine as well as an increase in knowledge of the human body, benefits of eating certain foods, and ways to diagnose and treat previously unknown or untreatable diseases is the reason. At some point will this plateau and level out or will people in the year 2200 live into their mid 100’s?

Well human life expectancy just keep rising or eventually plateau?
Indefinite extension may be possible with artificial applications.

Life expectancy and maximum life span for a species are two different things.

Obviously, what does this have to do with my question about life expectancy?

There’s no way my arse is making it to 80, much less 100. They better find a way to build me a new spine and gastrointestinal system.

Maximum life span hasn’t really changed so you can’t expect life expectancy to rise forever when you know there’s a cap.

Based on growing medical research that could be the case for most people living today.

Some people say the first person to reach 200 years old has already been born.
We've had some insane medical breakthroughs over the last 100 years. And it ain't stopping.

I think as people continue to invest in longevity research and governments recognize the potential of a massive healthy workforce it's going to happen sooner than we think.

Robots can't even replace a janitor as of now.
"AI" can't even replicate the brain capacity of a 2 year old human being.

The point at which we can download a complete scan of the human memory and download it into a cloned body will usher in the point at which we can truly begin the take over of the galaxy by playing the long game of expansion.

My family seems to live well past 100; they die cause they want to. 85 seems like a good time to just wander off if you are asking me, but will have to come back and report in 30 years

I think we’re hitting that plateau now. The things kids are willing to do to their bodies now a days is insane. Smoking and vaping in middle school bathrooms and having their stomach pumped from binge drinking. Add on to how overweight and unhealthy many of the generations are becoming.

This is a new phenomenon? Didn’t realize kids in the past never smoked and drank to excess

When I think medical science my first thought is TD.com

Sure, but that's not extending your life. That's creating a separate entity. You are not the copy. You die, you die even if there is a copy of you.
