Matuidi apparently has to count as a DP, which puts Miami at a total of 4. May need to get rid of one by next Friday.

ROCCO. RIOS. NOVO. fricking legend.
Portland draws 2-2.
Atlanta wins 1-0 after playing the entire 2nd half a man down.

That kid played out of his mind!

I think I saw they credited him with 6 saves. Also saved a 7th, but the shooter was offside.

You can see some potential in Atlanta after last night's game. I like the two new guys (Sosa, Ibarra) and of course the new GK kid was thrown into the fire and was awesome.
In just one game they seemed much more committed to and capable of going forward and Sosa really helped build plays quickly and with purpose from the back.
Still wondering where the consistent goals come from other than Josef. Need him to be old Josef again soon. He may need to score 25+ goals again.

I think Moreno can add goals. Both Lopezes can be a nice change of pace. Barco also looked more motivated last night, so hopefully that will translate to more goals for him. He almost scored one from ~25 yards out.

Moreno had 2 goals in 6 games last year after having not played for 7 months and not having a decent striker to occupy defenders.

True. He, Barco, and Josef still make one of the most formidable trio of DPs in MLS on paper. Hope it clicks for the three of them together this year.

The defenders of Frank De Boer at Atlanta in this forum should hang their heads in shame for all eternity.

Easily should have been a red. Also saw at least 1 instance worthy of a red in the scrum afterwards (Saprissa player elbowed a Philly player in the back of the head).

Atlanta makes the rare CB designated player signing with Alan Franco.
