So long as hospitalizations and deaths continue to decline, this is excellent news. This is what viruses do. Mutate, become more virulent and less deadly. Then they run through the population with most never knowing they are infected.
That's really the number to watch. There has been a very modest uptick in cases. Hospitalizations are still down, but those lag about a week to 10 days.

About the vaccine - didn't many liblabs including political candidates state that they would not take it because it came from Trump? I suppose the same as promising to leave the country if elections don't go their way.
