Supreme Court rebuffs bid for Hillary Clinton deposition

The Supreme Court on Monday denied a bid by a right-wing government watchdog group to require former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to face a deposition over her use of personal email while secretary of state.
In an unsigned order issued without comment, the justices declined an appeal from Judicial Watch that followed a ruling last August by a divided federal appeals court panel which said Clinton could not be compelled to sit for a deposition.

Who would have ever imagined that the US Supreme Court would end up compromised?

I mean when you realize that the current US is basically some country from the 1200s where there is no law, courts are ran from the outside, and rules only apply to peasants, this all becomes easier

The Court's decision in Kelo vs. New London was it for me.

So, we have a caste system that allows the Pols special privileges not afforded to the commoners...
The tree of liberty should be overwatered at this point in time...

In other words, those issues are irrelevant to that lawsuit, even if not "irrelevant" in a more-general sense.quote:Why the frick not?

It is entirely understandable that people (in general) "want to know what she knows," but that fact does not make her potential testimony relevant in that particular lawsuit.

I was able to ask Scalia about that when he spoke at Mississippi Law in 06... he agreed with you.

Justice is indeed not only blind, but deaf, dumb, stupid and COMPROMISED.
