Cable TV shows for toddlers

We have a 3 month old and are trying to find ways to keep him occupied with stimulus during the day when he's awake. As for TV he obviously isn't following plotlines or understanding anything at only 3 months old but I'm wondering if there are any shows you'd recommend for that age taht come on regular TV, basically anything that is bright and colorful and has sounds that would appeal to that age. So far the only shows I've happened to catch when I remember to try this out have been Bluey and Big City Greens. I LOVE bluey and catch myself watching it even when he's asleep. Big City greens is alright but it's almost a little too, idk...aggressive? Blues Clues is on sometimes but he's too young for that I think.
Any suggestions that I can record next time they're on? And as a followup question, as he gets older and hits 6 months, 1 year, 2 years...same question for shows that would be good and engaging for him.

Baby Einstein on Youtube. Worked great for both of my kids.

I believe so but haven't ever used it. I do know I can cast youtube from my phone to the TV.
When he was super young I would have alexa play classical music for babies or lullabies for babies and shite like this, is super simple songs a similar kinda thing but with video as well?

Dude, Cocomelon. Most of the songs are a bit repetitive, but catchy as frick.
Although I will say it feels like 3 months may be a bit young for TV. Whenever my son used to cry, we would play the theme song to Paw Patrol and it calmed him down like magic. There were times when we literally had to play it 30-40 times in a row to get him to bath time.

Yes. Its lullabies and kid songs animated with slow moving cute animals and whatnot.
Its basically crack for toddlers.

We watched a lot of music videos with my daughter when she was an infant, they don't really pay attention to the music it just gets their attention and they watch what's happening on screen - you'll be surprised what they enjoy.
Super Simple Songs will get worn out but they love that stuff. Do everything possible to prevent them seeing suggested songs or browsing kids youtube - I suggest building a Playlist and only playing that. There's a ton of awful shite on there with low budget animation and audio that's basically a money farm for the animators who rely on parents to play anything for their kid. Some of it is downright creepy and gross.
When they get to 1 or 2, just let them watch cartoons or stop-motion that you enjoy without trying to guess what might be too scary or something. My daughter has been obsessed with zombies and monsters and shite since she was like 18 months old. Coraline, Paranorman, and Nightmare before Christmas are 3 of her favorite movies - and I know some adults creeped out by those

When ours was that young, we would cast YouTube videos of trucks for toddlers which would keep him pretty well entertained. Just 3D animation, bright colors, movement, and music. No words.

Screen time isn’t really necessary at all for a baby. It the grand scheme of things, it can actually delay development with speech/language/attention span. I would recommend waiting until the kid is a bit older, possibly at least 1 or ideally 2. But to each their own.
My 3 year old loves Bluey, Chico Bon Bon, and The Cat in the Hat series.

Meh, it's not like we're giving him an ipad to play with. When he's squirmy or fussy we'll hold him, go for a walk, put him on the mat, put him in a swing chair, put him on a little baby einstein thing, etc. There's a bunch of things we do to calm him down and keep him occupied but sometimes as babies tend to do he is still just fussy. I don't think putting him on the couch to watch colorful shapes on the TV is hurting anything.

T.O.T.S. has been great for my daughter since she was about 4-5 months. She is now 16 months and loves it even more.

Doubt it's on regular TV, but if you have a smart TV w YouTube check out Little Baby Bum. Very repetitive, great twists on songs (baby shark, wheels on the bus...). We used it as background music when ours were younger, and now if it's on while they are playing they will randomly start "dancing" in the middle of whatever they are doing.
My youngest doesn't watch Bluey, but will dance every time the intro comes on.
Mickey mouse clubhouse was big when they were younger, but like LBB not sure if that's on regular tv.

The Mr. Men show US dubs are on YouTube. Look for the more recent versions instead of the ones from the 70’s. The baby will notice the bright colors and occasional music. Mr. Stubborn cracks me up. It’s bearable, and that seems like the best anyone can hope for with shows for kids these days.
