The freeze killed 6 huge bottle brush I had in the front and back yards.

Put my feeder out 2 weeks ago, still haven't seen one here in Houston.

We are going to miss our Bottle Brush bushes we had in Alabama. They will not survive the cold in NW Arkansas. I will need to find an alternate bush.

We saw a hummingbird at our new home in NW Arkansas today.

Feeders out. None yet 30 miles north of ATL

Had one show up yesterday and stare at me through the basement window. Came back this morning and did the same thing, so we put the feeders out on the deck. In Gwinnett.

We now have seen two birds here in NW Arkansas. One was sitting on one of our chairs on the rear patio out of the rain.

My sister had one fly in an open door into her house this past weekend, little guy was hard to catch to get back outside

Had two feeding at my feeder today in the rain. They would use the same feeder. Then a third shows up and runs everybody off. He just sits in wait to dive bomb the others.

Have two feeders out in SWMT. Our primary bird is the Rufous. There are several birds working the feeders.

They are described as a small hummingbird. I would say burly is more apt. These guys are really aggressive. I’ve seen the dominant bird strike another coming in to feed. Interestingly the birds will all cooperate just before dusk. My feeders have six stations. Often I will see all six stations occupied with a couple of other birds perched on the feeder waiting for a turn. My wife and I enjoy watching them.

Must be incredible living in south west Montana. Stayed at a cabin on the middle fork of the Flathead River in Hungry Horse last year. Lot to see out that way.

You would not be a happy guy this year. Normally ranchers who irrigate alfalfa and/or grass hay get 60 days of water. This year, at first, it started with 25 days, now it is up to 30. Hay will be very expensive this Fall. It is tense around here. Some guys are selling cows.

Saw a little wheat and a lot of canola where we were. A few fields were irrigated. I bet the weather is pretty unpredictable.
