I like rules and I think they apply to everyone. I am really disappointed in the way the LSU powers at be handled the Les Miles situation and the numerous other sexual abuse claims as pointed out in the USA Today article today. Really sad--winning should not be at ANY cost.

Sad we had to put up with the tail end of his career when we could have easily canned his arse.

Yup. Should have been fired for cause the min this information came out. He was a horrible coach to start with. This should have been a no-brainer.

Honest question. If we fire miles then, do we hire O? Do we have Joey B? Does the 2019 season happen?

We can play hindsight all we want, but we got 2019 because of every decision that lead up to it, good and bad. I wouldn't trade any of it.

Some of y’all act like LSU is incapable of of winning a title outside the 2019 perfect storm. LSU has won in spite of bad coaching...if LSU actually would have replaced miles with a functional coach in 2013, I have no doubt there would have been a title run or two.

No. I just love the perfect storm. It was the best season ever and doesn't happen if good and bad decisions aren't made.

2019 wasn't simply a title run. It was the best season ever.

Yes to prolong this buffoons tenure disregarding these allegations should go down as the worst action this great institution has made to date.

Different times in 2013
Miles would have threatened to sue and LSU would have probably settled to make him go away

That’s fine. And 2019 was amazing. But this program hasn’t had a functional coach in 16 years. I’d like to see what could happen with someone who knows what they’re doing.

I think anyone that argues LSU isn't one of the top 3 most dangerous schools for winning a title is insane.

We won a title with Les Miles and managed the greatest season ever with Coach O.

Miles was a middling retard from Okie state and Coach O won more games in one year than he managed in is stint at Ole Miss.

Wrong Gov.

It is BJE as governor elect that told Alexander don’t pay coach Miles $20M and the come to me asking for more money in the 2016 legislative session.

Jindal was on his way, had no power left.

Because what Miles did, while stupid & lacking of self awareness, wasn't a fireable offense.

Why is this Governor Jindal’s fault?

you think that's sad? think of all the talent wasted by him. So much awesome talent just squandered by him.

LSU asked their attorneys to review the matter and the response that came back was that the alleged actions likely weren't enough to violate the terms of his contract. In other words, LSU had a weak argument to fire him for cause at that time.

At that point he was 85-21; Had brought LSU to 3 SECCG appearances, winning two. He has also brought LSU to two NC games, winning one.

Do you get to make ALL decisions in your life with the benefit of hindsight? So you belive firing a coach with THAT record, in June, 3 months before the start of the season which would have assured you ZERO shot of getting a top notch replacement until AFTER the 2013 season, at best, was a "no brainer"...in June of 2013?

The term "no brain" does come to mind.
