I’m serious. State rarely plays well here. I like Hill and the pitch calling changes. I like how we are hitting. Marceaux is our best pitcher and he will go 8. Sundays are weird and I think we win it 9-7.

Well, it's baseball. And baseball has a funny way of being extremely fickle. I would caution fans of either team to not count their chickens before they hatch.

Starting pitching for state will limit our hitters somewhat, but not totally. ala 4-6 runs. Our starters will do fine but the bullpen will be our downfall unless we can save them till later than the 7th inning.

LSU can no way shape or form have any starter knocked out early this weekend.

It’s just a predictions. 1-2 or 2-1 is boring.

The only game I have any confidence in is Sunday. Landon Sims has closed out many of our Sunday games and has been nearly perfect this year. Friday and Saturday all depends on how deep either starters go for both teams.

I would not be surprised to see Lemonis pull out all the stops to win Friday night given the depth of our bullpen. He can afford to burn some innings for guys that we would normally save for game 2 and 3. Just based on the games played, I have us taking 2 of 3. At this point in time, I think we are the more complete team, but any SEC series on the road is a total crapshoot.

ETA: I'm also a big believer that 2/3 of these games will be low scoring, contrary to what many people believe. Pitching usually steps up in the first SEC series, and guys tend to press at the plate.

I agree. Games 1 and 2 will be low scoring. Less than 5 runs per team per game maybe.

Correct. I could see the Sunday game exploding for either team.

Obviously I would love a sweep, but a small part of me would love to see an intense barn burner rubber match.

SEC baseball is back!! Just wish it was back with 100% capacity.

It could have been like a Super Regional atmosphere this weekend without the restrictions.

The very best rivalry in college baseball - intense but always dramatic with great sportsmanship.

A damn shame. I'm glad the series isn't at Dudy Noble though. I want Tiger fans to see it 100% open during their first experience. They have the entire LFL lounge blocked off if you are not a ticket holder. Glad they are getting rid of that shite next weekend.
