The time has finally come fellow baseball brethren. If you recall, Covid lockdowns (BS) started the week before this series last year, causing me to throw plane tickets and other reservations straight down the toilet.
WE ARE BACK. The greatest rivalry in college baseball is back. The best lineup vs. the best bullpen is back. It's going to be one hell of a series. Best of luck to both teams and hoping for an injury free weekend. I have longed-for this.

It appears State will be opening to 100% for the Arkansas series next week. It should only be a matter of time before others follow suit. Alex Box deserves to be full.

There are a pair of freshmen for each team with HS teammates on the opposing team this weekend.
Dylan Carmouche and Will Safford were teammates at U High.
Davis Meche and Brody Drost were teammates at Barbe.

Looking through the SEC stats and this should be a really fun series. Looks like as a whole, your pitching is on another level but we are simply mashing the ball right now.
If Hill and Marceaux can give us their A games, I have to believe we are the favorite to take at least 2 of the 3.

I have to think Drost gets some ABs at some point. Safford could get more PR opportunities.
I don't know how much Meche has been playing, but I did see him coaching 1st base one game against Tulane.
Carmouche has been pitching, but I don't know how much. They have so many arms it's tough to say. But Carmouche is left handed.
