East Baton Rouge Parish, West Feleicia, and Zachary schools are closing early Wednesday

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Several schools will be dismissing early on Wednesday, March 17, due to potentially severe weather that could impact the Baton Rouge area.
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System will begin early dismissal at 11:30 a.m. for middle and high school students and 12:45 p.m. for elementary students.
West Feliciana Schools along with Bains/BLE will be dismissing at 1:00 on Wed. March 17.
Zachary schools will be dismissing early on Wed. March 17:

They close schools for any reason these days. Kinda crazy all the reasons they close compared to yester-year. "back in the day" they never closed schools.

I get the phrasing and the meaning, but it’s kind of a weird point to make in this sense. If they don’t close, and if even just one person dies as a result, then it’ll be seen as a colossal frick up.
Again, not saying schools need to close early tomorrow, just stating that the logic behind the comment is flawed.

Abundance of caution I suppose but I doubt anything too bad will happen here. Alabama schools should definitely close.

I can't tell you how many times I recall huddling in a hallway as a child when we had tornado warnings. I would have rather been at school.

I don't see the problem with letting out a little early so the buses can run and get off the roads
