People are evacuating. Not just people from BR are going. And people like me aren't going for traffic reasons, and I have 9 family members coming to stay here to get ready for. You just don't understand the nature of the storm. I realize that it is 4 days away but the gov. decided to start contraflow early so people will abide by that.

Won't be even close to an actual attendance of 75,000 although LSU will try to skew the numbers to make it look like more. I have several friends in the Houston area who aren't going. I imagine that fans who normally drive in from out of state won't make it. In LSU's defense, Jindal has a lot people in a panic with talk of early evac and contra-flow. They won't go out of fear of being caught in crazy traffic or not being able to get gas.

Add the fact that some people who would normally go to the game are starting to evac and /thread

If the season opener for a defending national championship team doesn't get 80,000+, regardless of time, that's extremely disapointing for our fan base. Bunch of whiners. Wake up at 5, 5 hours is plenty of time to get drunk.

Not everyone lives in BR and out of harms way. Look at my post.

Well I believe that was the whole idea of moving it to ten. Ample amount of time to return to your home and do what you need to do and be out by Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning.

The game starts at 10 and worst case will end at 2. The PD says that gameday traffic takes 4 hours to get rid of. Contraflow starts at 6(I believe), sticking to Jindals 72 hour plan, which is why the game is when it is.

so are you saying that contraflow is beginning at 6 pm saturday? because no offical email has been sent around to that effect, meaning that it should still be on sunday, where football traffic would have no effect.

I'll go with 75,000 fans showing up. Also, if anyone is too pissed to go the game tomorrow, and carries that pissdam(?) over to the LSU/Florida game, and wants to sell me their face value tickets, I'll take them.

And everybody should know the storm won't hit til Tuesday, so that shouldn't take away from attendance. It really shouldn't be that big of a deal. And you guys are the defending National Champs. Anything less than 75k would be a disappointment.

Plus, with the game not being on TV, there should be a lot of people that will go there and try to get tickets.

You have no idea what it's like when it comes to this type of shite so STFU! What's really shameful is the BCS keeps sending you to redeem yourself against the SEC and you frickers refuse to show up. fricking pussies.
