Rankins had already suffered too big injuries. A torn Achilles in 2018 and two other injuries in '19 and '20.

They were big, but time will tell if they were two big.

Yes you did

Don't crawfish now when I called this two months ago

ETA: You literally said this in that thread:

quote:

*ETA: i'm not claiming we're in the Super Bowl hunt, unless we can keep Jameis somehow.

They kept Jameis, so they are at least making the NFCCG by your own projections. I'll bet you any sum of money right now that they don't make it to the NFCCG.

i said we weren't rebuilding, not that we'd take no losses

and Jameis gives us Super Bowl potential

we've been the best team in the NFL for the past 4 years. we may take a 1-year stop gap due to cap issues but worst case is contention in 2022 and like a 7-9 2021. i'll take that as opposed to your comments that we'd blow it up

Simply amazing how the opinion of Jameis Winston has changed amongst the Saints fanbase after throwing for 75 yards in 2020 and turning the ball over 40 times in 2019.

You said this. You can't run from it kid. I told you the Saints were done for 2021. You said they are in the SB hunt if they resigned Jameis. So either take my bet or admit you were wrong.

Don't try to crawfish your way out of this.

I'm not. We have Super Bowl potential, still, since we kept him and most of our team

our OL is effectively intact and super elite. same with our RBs

we have our top-5 WR

our DL lost guys but we still have 2 starting DEs and 2 starting DTs. we just lost depth

lost our #2 CB but kept everyone else in the secondary including our top-5 FS

we also have a full draft and we're an amazing drafting team

we've fricked up teams with less talent

you were posting like we had to blow it up and rebuild. if Jameis is even just solid, we're a playoff-caliber team without major injuries

I don’t disagree with that.

I do agree with that.

Jameis Winston > Taysom Hill for sure.

You
Are
Still
Crawfishing

I literally showed you where you said Super Bowl hunt. Not potential, not playoff caliber, not whatever words you want to try to walk back what you originally said. You said what you said. I even called you out on crawfishing then and said you would do it again. And guess what? Like clockwork, here you are.

So no more crawfishing, a simple yes or no: Do the Saints make it to the NFCCG this year or not? Yes or no?

that's not how life works. there could be a 99% chance the Saints do, and they still might not

anyone who would answer a question definitively has no concept of probabilities. it's literally impossible to give a confident answer with any sort of rational basis

i'll give you a better real world example. the team with the best odds to win the next super bowl is +550. 5.5 to 1 odds. that's the MOST likely team to win it all

FWIW, Nola is #8, so Vegas thinks it's very likely we'll be in the playoff hunt

i told you why. it's a stupid question. they're much more likely to not make the NCFCG than they are likely to...just like EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE NFC

will the KC Chiefs make the AFCCG next year? this is binary so you get even odds. yes or no?
