Difference is Skip told this to a guy standing on the mound that later came out by the player in a interview years later. Not to a national new outlet to try to cover his own arse. bullshite. Everyone knew this happened on a regular basis at LSU, at the time. We just didn't have social media / tRant to discuss it.
It's well documented that Skip was an insanely demanding coach to play for. And, he had a huge temper and quite a grasp on the English language.
