Segar and Ausberry should be fired. Excuse and semantical BS are there excuses. Les Miles PR stunt by LSU conveniently releasing info a couple days before report comes out is a deflection tactic, political and legal playbook 101. If you know your client is guilty AF then you throw out some negative info about anyone other than your clien

Walkoff. Very poor analogy. F King knew about Les. He intervened in keeping Les after knowing all. Aleva apparently didn’t have the stroke to get rid of Miles. This is on F King and Miles mostly. Both should be held accountable.

Since I owned no slaves and none of my living ancestors did its not the same thing at all.

Don’t think I’ll ever get over them not firing miles in 2015. I understand the reasons and political pressure, but still mind boggling.

Funny how ppl are being fired everywhere for this except at LSU

Maybe the ones who were involved or were coaches of the players named, are gone.

Of all repercussions to come from this, F King Alexander being fired from Oregon State University would be the most satisfying to me. frick that liberal arse mother fricker.

FIFY. University of Oregon is in Eugene, OR. Both the city and university are very liberal. OTOH, Corvallis, OR and Oregon State University are both more conservative in comparison. Regardless, Alexander will have a hard time keeping his job as all the major media outlets (news and tv) are in the more liberal cities in OR, NOT Corvallis.

And he had no credibility because of Duke. Which is why he never should have been hired.

To be fair to Joe this one time, it seems like he was the only one who wanted to get rid of Les and everyone else was all for sweeping it under the rug, according to the report.

I would guess that the “on field” decline was why he wanted Les gone. IIRC, Les was very good buds with Jindal, who allegedly ran interference for him in terms of his firing. Perhaps Alleva wanted Les fired due to off the field issues, but if that’s the case, wouldn’t that mean that Jindal was tacitly (and potentially...knowingly) allowing these circumstances to exist?

FWIW, I am no fan of Jindal, but I don’t believe that he intervened on Les behalf fully aware of his off field concerns. I think that Aleva, with King’s initial approval, was going to fire Les based on the on field decline.

So Jindal interfering without knowing the whole story is better to you? Jindal sacked the previous AD and installed F King. I think the marching orders to F King were to keep things quiet.

IIRC, Jindal may have been concerned with the optics of the buyout when state budget issues were a concern. His potential ignorance aside (my guess), he just as well may have been fully aware. Only he actually knows.

You may very well be correct. Again, only a handful of people truly know.

Good thing he took advantage of his second chance.
