In the comics, Wiccan and Speed are shards of Memphisto. Hence why you hear them, in the end, screaming for their mom in MCU hell.
However, I am starting to think Memphisto will get retconned into Chthon.

I think Mephisto will eventually come around in the MCU...but I think you are right they are setting up Chthon in the near term.

Sucks there won't be a season 2, and basically it was a set up for next marvel super hero movies.

My kids corrected me - I really didn’t know Wanda was inherently evil - still don’t know if she really is - anti-heroes are still pretty popular

There’s a lot of speculation that Wanda will be the villain, at least temporarily, in the upcoming Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness.

It is very likely that she will accidentally release the true villlain through her using of the Darkhold to get her kids back. I expect Strange will try to stop her, but it will be too late.

So, there was a scene that got cut where the twins and Monica try to take the Darkhold, but Senor Scratchy turns into a demon to stop them.

Since Strange doesn’t need to exist in physical form, I do wonder what the hell he’s been up to for five years.

Well I think many of us expected him to be heavily involved in endgame before the second snap. If he was even around, maybe he was preparing the many other forces he brought in for that final battle. Or maybe he was just out of commission.
It shouldn’t be hard to make a reason why he didn’t show in wandavision. This was soon after endgame, and I’m sure he had many problems to deal with already.

I dunno if it is back tracking, but one of the places that reported Benedict Cumberbatch was spotted on the set have now stated his scenes were shifted to his movie similar to how Hawkeye in Infinity War got moved to Endgame. (I don't believe this, as his movie is still over a year out, so I don't know if they would already be filming scenes)

I think they pushed the release date back because of Covid. It was originally supposed to be a 2021 movie. Plus, Elizabeth Olsen was recently on Jimmy Fallon (last week) where she said she was in London filming Dr. Strange right now

There’s definitely a scene where’s hes in the astral plane talking to Spider-Man post Infinity War. It was shot during Endgame.

The MCU movie plots are simple and understandable as they hop from movie to movie. They were never going to have millions of people show up at spider man saying, “wait, what the F is going on? Disney plus will give us character development and flesh out storylines but nothing that they cant reintroduce in a movie in a quick matter of minutes at most. It will be fun to see the little things no one else does.
For me it worked. I now understand and care about wanda more than any other mcu current character and some of the darker elements will mean more going forward.

The question is, do Vision and the kids exist now? The post credits scene suggests at least the kids do, in some other dimension. Either that or it’s a trick to get Wanda to open some other dimension.
