Have this popped up here and there in my dormant bermuda. Best way to get rid of it while Bermuda is still dormant? Or should I wait until Bermuda just pushed it out? Put down atrazine the other day for my clover.

I don't think that is poa. Poa is not quite that green and by the time it gets to that height it has a seed head. I could be wrong though.

This is a head scratcher. Possibly rescue grass. Let it go to seed. The seed always gives it away.

Looks like a wide blade fescue to me, especially being green this time of year in your locale.

I thought about fescue but I don’t have a lot of experience with it

Def fescue. POA is a lighter color green with a white seed head.

its Kentucky Blue eyed Grass. we fight it on the golf courses with Poa. look very similar when smaller. Metsulfuron may kill it, but its pretty mature at this point. Plus use Simazine on bermuda, not Atrazine. Bermuda doesn't like atrazine, will set back spring green up.

Not being confrontational, just an honest question.
Why not hit it with Roundup since the bermuda is dormant.
I have spot treated weeds with it for years while the bermuda has ABSOLUTELY no green, and never had an issue with it causing slow green-up or dead spots.

If I had the choice I'd rather have a full yard of that grass that stays green all year long instead of Bermuda or Zosia. Both types are doing a great job taking over the Fescue in my yard.

If your neighbors have Bermuda, you'll have Bermuda.

Def. can understand this. I have two GSPs and they're wrecking shop on my dormant bermuda in the back yard and its a mud pit in a lot of areas.

Probably will try Rye over seed next winter.

Nothing beats the fully greened bermuda carpet in the summer though.

Best way to get rid of it?

I've got MSMA and Celcius but I don't think it's quite warm enough here yet for either.

No thank god. I dug all of that out manually and haven't had problems since fortunately.

Dallis is a summer weed, pretty sure its not around in the winter.

Dallisgrass is a perennial so it is still there, it's just dormant. Not saying in your lawn, just in general.

The weed in question is something I am not familiar with but MSMA should kill it.
