I have never tipped a guide, I’m already paying them a fee. I do give them an extra $40 if the clean the fish.

I've never understood this, why am I obligated to tip a guide who is charging me a fee for his services? I don't tip the auto mechanic because he did a good job of fixing my truck.
When you pay $10k for a hunt 10% is a lot of money added to the cost.

Well that would be a little much. I used to duck guide and generally if the clients had a good time, you would get about $100/day for a tip that usually got split up by all the hunters (typically 4 but sometimes less). $60 was about average per day. Usually most folks carry $20's so that is usually the tip structure unless they pay with a card then it could be anywhere. I would imagine a fishing guide would get about the same kind of tip since the trip cost is probably about the same per person I would guess.

Had a trip in January for flounder, ended up with only one guy. Guy paid me for the trip and tipped $200.00 before we left the dock. He wasn’t a very good
Fisherman but had a good time. Cleaned his fish and all of mine and he peeled another Benny off for that.
Was glad I didn’t charge him for bait.

Depends, if it's a guide who works for someone else I'll tip them.

20 dollars each per day is what my group of friends do when we go on any type of guided trip. 4 to 6 people 80 to 120 bucks.

My Toledo guided trips run around $500/day and he cleans and bags the fish, so he gets $100 (20%). Inshore and offshore saltwater trips, we usually throw $50 each up, unless the trip is really good or really bad.
