If the same fricking old men that sit in front of Academy and other places would quit buying their limits every day we would go back to semi normal in a few months.

100% true. There's being prepared and there's addiction. You don't need 50,000 rounds of ammo.

These are the same type of people that were buying toilet paper every day.
I showed up at Costco early, started talking to the guy in front of me. He said he’s there every morning when they open to buy toilet paper. It is an addiction with some people.

My brother and I would scope Academy during the last ammo shortage and the same 3 or 4 70 year old men would be sitting in the parking lot every Tuesday waiting for it to open and each buy their max in .22 bricks, they did this for months.

A lot of people think you don't need a gun.

You don’t need an AR15 either.

what if you shoot 500 rounds a weekend? This shortage could last two years. Do the math. You don’t “need” a lot of things.

I agree, you don't need 40,000 rounds of ammo. I mean, who needs 30,000 rounds of ammo? I certainly don't need 20,000 rounds of ammo. I'm not sure why anyone would need 10,000 rounds of ammmo for anything. So, let's limit everyone to 1,000 rounds of ammo. Sounds good. Please register your 200 rounds of ammo and anything more than that, please turn in because no one needs more than 2 guns to shoot their 40 rounds of ammo. And if you're going to have your 10 rounds of ammo, they should probably be shot guns so please turn in your rifles and handguns with your 5 rounds of ammo.

And yes, that's how it starts and ends...

Guy at the outdoor store told me if you get in a situation where you need more than a few hundred rounds of ammo then what you really need is to call friends for backup

Says who? You know some people own and shoot machine guns.

Anyway, Academy in BR had plenty of 5.56/223 and .308. It is pricey though, $.60+ a round for 223.

Go look at the La Sportsman’s classifieds. A lot of those dudes are selling it.
