These darn Republican states are killing everyone and both Nebraska and Iowa have been used as examples to justify other places remaining closed and how it's unsafe for kids to go to school. But you'll never hear about how cases fell off a cliff in these parts despite almost no restrictions
Omaha was used as an example of a hotbed 2 months ago with little mandates.
Per CDC dashboard..
Hospitilations:
11/23 - 445
2/19 - 96
Deaths wk of:
11/28 - 46
2/13 - 6

The only way to slow down the spread of this virus was to let people's immune systems get adjusted in large scale. This has been the case throughout history. It's well documented.
The hot spots were new areas that of course increased exponentially. Anyone who used that to instill panic was doing so with a motive.

I saw earlier today that covid deaths are down 77% nationwide over the last 6 weeks. Amazing huh?

It's almost like infections and vaccines lead to population immunity.
Crazy I know.

They changed the protocols for detection to deliberately reduce COVID cases.

Well they did change definitions, and all
If the current definitions had been in play in 2020, guess what? No pandemic. No mail in ballots. No Joe Biden

Amazing how November elections started killing the virus off and reported numbers dropped to almost nothing overnight. Covid sure hated Trump MSM.

Why do people down vote this?
This is not a pro biden statement.
If anything it is a pro Trump statement.
All that pain we went through before? All that money spent for vaccine rollout?
All that vaccinating people according to risk dying like the old, nursing home patients and people with pre existing conditions?
Republicans rolled out these vaccines quicker and followed a sensible plan rather than following the cdc recommendations.
Simply vaccinating the most at risk individuals, that 10 percent of the population has a huge effect on hospitalizations.
This thing will be over by May unless biden screws up the vaccine rollout.
I don't see how he can. He is just following trumps plan.

And they'll never admit this. If there is one thing Biden and his team are pissed about, it's that the vaccine was developed and distributed under Trump's administration. By the time Biden was administered the oath of office on January 20, more than one million shots of the vaccine were being administered per day. Biden had hoped that number wouldn't come to fruition until AFTER he took office because he promised 100 million shots within his first 100 days. We were well on pace to meet that goal before he took office.
Now they're trying to go with the story that there was no vaccine roll out plan even though there was. Trump's plan was to let the states handle their own roll out plans because each state's situation was different.

I don't understand why some people tie opening to cases even if there's no more deaths and hospitalizations.
We don't count the other common colds.
In May or June every state will be like Iowa.
Can someone explain to me why we need to keep restrictions until there are no cases, even if there aren't hospitalizations or deaths?

China and the dems released covid to ruin Trump, and now it’s amazingly disappearing. They’re not even trying to hide it. Meanwhile DC is completely barricaded and has more troops than a war zone.
I wish people would wake up and realize the government doesn’t give two shits about them, and only wants control.
Look at Ted Cruz taking a beach vacation during a natural disaster in his own state.

That is great news.

Interesting data point I should have already thought of.
Compare PCR positives to total positive cases.
I looked at a county here in Missouri and PCR positives was only 66% of total positives - meaning the other third is rapid test. So subtract 33% from the total of positives.
