Texans Froze To Death Because Biden Admin Ordered ERCOT To Throttle Energy Output By Forci

After Texas Gov Abbott declared a state of emergency back on Feb 12 Biden administration ordered ERCOT to throttle energy output by forcing it to comply with environmental green energy standards, knowing full well Texans could freeze to death in their homes with zero electricity as temperatures plunged into the single digits.
Going into effect Sunday, Feb. 14, Emergency Order 202-21-1 shows the Energy Dept. was aware of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s statewide disaster declaration and that ERCOT was readying gas utilities in preparation for a demand surge.
Here’s Abbott order:
Texas is getting a lot of grief about being a standalone system, and not running on National Standards. The usual green-deal embracing suspects are leading that charge. But national regulations are part of the reason our base-load electrical energy sources, ones that do NOT rely on the ebb and flow of sunlight and wind power, did not ramp up adequate supply.
Then why are so millions of Texans without power right now?
The answer is all-too-familiar: Texas’ relationship with the federal government.
In anticipation of this unprecedented power demand, Texas could have maxed out power generation. However, they couldn’t. Like a lowly beggar, Texas had to first ask for permission from the federal government to generate enough power to keep our people warm. Why? Because cranking up the power plants to full production might violate federal pollution limitS.

Here's where I disagree - Abbott should have ramped up production and then, politely, asked for forgiveness afterwards.

I’ve linked that letter multiple times.
Nothing but crickets from the green energy and pro-government faction.

The regulations are stupid. We can all agree on that.
But they approved ERCOT to surpass the emissions levels the same day it was requested.

It is my understanding that they approved the increased output providing that it didn’t violate pollution standards. I will have to do some more research.

Abbott should have throttled up everything he had and then sent the letter.

according to U.S. Energy documents. The request was granted, but included a warning that ERCOT not exceed the amount of generation absolutely needed to restore power and keep Texas homes warm
I mean it’s shitty to add that part but it was probably written by a-hole lawyers. .

Did you even bother to read what the "release" granted? The so called release actually states that ERCOT must first expand all other resources to import power at a base price no lower than $1,500 per megawatt hour. - So the DOE said yes you can run the plants harder, but only AFTER you buy all the super expensive electricity that can be supplied to you. The DOE did not release the increase output the way it is being portrayed but then again, good leftist lap dogs such as you will stick to the talking point that release was requested and granted the same day.
Edit: At least now we know why people on spot pricing bills have skyrocketed. The DOE forced it on them.
Who runs the DOE again?

Moreover, the order instructed an “incremental amount of restricted capacity” to be sold to ERCOT at “a price no lower than $1,500/MWh,” an increase of over 6,000 percent over February 2020 prices of $18.20.

If I am Governor of Texas I tell them Go To Hell, go on statewide TV let them know all about this, and do what I have to do.
Let them try and sue me.
Let them try and sue me.

Additional info...
ETA:

The order shows Acting Energy Secretary David Huizenga did not waive environmental restrictions to allow for maximum energy output, instead ordering ERCOT to utilize all resources in order to stay within acceptable emissions standards – including purchasing energy from outside the state.
