Whats the best calamari you've ever had?? I think my favorite so far has been Deangelos.

the Calamari at Chelseas is pretty good IMO.

The best I've had is from Amerigo's. This is surprising because the rest of their food pretty much sucks. I think it has a lot to do with the pesto based dipping sauce....

I will relay to you the story of the most ignorant thing I have ever heard in regards to calamari when I worked at a very nice restaurant in town.
Dumbass Customer: "Hey, waiter! I need more ketchup for my onion rings!"
Smartass Waiter: "First of all, that is marinara. Secondly, those are not onion rings. It's squid."
Needless to say, hilarity ensued.

They toss it in a sweet n sour sauce and skip out on the red sauce. But there squid is very meaty and thick.
Another place who has good clamari is (believe it or not) Champ's. Go watch a game and order drinks and calamari but nothing else.

Believe it or not, Hello sushi has some great calamari. Its covered in the same type of sauce as the "bang bang shrimp" from Bonefish, very very good stuff.

Great food there, we know the chef, his name is Kien Sam, he is amazing.
Calamari is served with fried peppers, and a really good sweet chili sauce. Sushi is awesome. Best side is the jalapeno cheese grits.

Sullivan's is very good, but I also really like Tsunami's fried calamari. They call them "Inka Fries" and the sauce you dip it in is awesome

Deangelos does have good calamari....and they give you a lot of it too...oh, and I don't know if they still have fried shrimp, but their fried shrimp used be jamming as well...
