Not the same at all, but OKAY.

You're right. They were huge country "crossover" stars when that happened and pretty much got blacklisted from the country scene. Carano is a washed up MMA fighter and C list actor who didn't even have a major role in the franchise she desperately wanted fired from so she could play the victim card.
Immediately jumping on board with Shapiro just proves a point of what a nut job she is.

Will never exist. There are only so many ways to tell people exactly what they want to hear, which is what conservatives demand.

Nope. It's actually the exact opposite.

It's pretty ironic that you think that comment makes sense in a thread about Gina Carano, who was fired for not saying exactly what leftists want.

She was fired by Disney for saying supposedly terrible things about Jews, even though she didn't do that at all, and then signs to a prominent Jewish conservative's platform the very next day.

This doesn't mean what you seem to think it means.

She was just fired for a completely non-offensive tweet. I'd say that falls under "censoring".

It doesn’t tho. She is still free to express those opinions. That doesn’t mean her employer can’t decide to move on from her if they don’t agree with those opinions or agree with her expressing them.

Uncensored speech or freedom of speech does not absolve people of consequences from their actions

If you want to argue that the consequences are too harsh, fine, but that’s a different argument and not censorship.

When it is only happening to people with a certain political slant, it's censorship. You're wrong. If this was happening in China, you'd call it what it is.

If it was coming from the Chinese government sure I would.

I know it feels like they run everything but Disney is not a government and has every right to fire her

ETA: Ben Shapiro should get the guys behind "Woodlawn" and "I Can Only Imagine" on board, along with Antonio Sabato Jr's studo. Would love to see a conservative streaming service with actual capital behind it get going.

Who said they didn't have the right to fire her? I've not seen anyone make this claim.

Say what you will about the cancel culture aspect of her scenario, but she is not a very good actress.

She is easily the worst part of the mandalorian.

She is easily my 13 year old's favorite part (other than The Child, obviously) of the Mandalorian. Disney had a strong female Star Wars character who was believable, and they canceled her. Really puts a damper on the whole "force is female" nonsense. Apparently the force is only female if that female believes exactly what the folks in charge believe.

This seems like a really stupid question. The double standard is the issue. Just because they can do something doesn't mean they should do something, and it is absolutely the right of fans to be angry at their decision.

Sure. Feel free to be angry

But that’s not censorship

Not anymore than it’s censorship for my job to fire me if I post porn in a group chat

can you point to any of these success stories?

The Passion of the Christ remains the highest grossing R-rated film of all-time and is very popular in conservative circles.

Like she could “act” like a fighter but her lines were pretty wooden.

compare that to Queen Latifah's new gig (with no disrespect to her.)

Thats honestly a crazy reboot. Idk who the target market for that is.

The issue is the hypocrisy. Pedro Pascal posted a similar meme comparing the immigration centers to Nazi concentration camps. Nothing from Disney or their woke followers. Gina Carano posts a meme regarding the same subject but from a different political perspective and immediately gets fired for it.

They still have Bo-Katan, Ahsoka, Fennec, and Sasha Banks strong female characters

I feel bad, she's about to hit the Kevin Sorbo trail and just not be heard from again.
