Thanks for proving this point. You all are more loyal to one man than you are to the principles of your party. If Trump loved you as much as he claimed, then why did he not grant pardons to any of the "Patriots" who stormed the capital building on Jan. 6. You're never going to get everything you want in politics or in life. At some point compromise is inevitable. And not one of these politicians would give Trump or anyone else the time of day if it didn't keep them in office. They care more about that position than you do about me or you. The moment Trump ever becomes unpopular or doesn't bring them what they want, they would turn on him just as quickly as Trump turn on his own staff I remember when Barr, Pence, and everyone else in Trump's initial circle were treated as heroes. Funny how fickle the base has become since then. You won't even acknowledge that Trump doesn't even respect people he selected.
Yea all of that you wrote is meaningless bull shite.
There was no incitement to insurrection. The impeachment is a political and unconstitutional sham for very obvious reasons to any non retarded person.
The end.

There's already multiple people lining up to primary him. The Horry County School Board chairman just announced his candidacy and one of our local state representatives from Socastee (the favorite if he runs) is likely to soon announce. Rice is gone.
Let it be so.

Rice told the Charleston Post and Courier that the South Carolina GOP “has forgotten its own creed that says ‘I will cower before no man save my God,” accusing them of “cowering before Donald Trump.” Rice also defended his impeachment vote, calling Trump’s alleged incitement of the mob who stormed the Capitol a “clear violation of the constitution,” and declaring, “I don’t care if the President that does that is Republican or a Democrat, I’m voting for impeachment.”
What an idiot! What did Trump say to incite anything? "Patriotically and peacefully let your voice be heard?" What part of peaceful and patriot mean to break windows? He needs to be censored for voting without evidence of wrongdoing.

If they were politicians that would be a good start.

Also, why is it so hard to comprehend that you and/or your specific county may not represent the majority of Americans or at least have to reach a compromise in government. Instead of looking at counties, why not look at a total population of specific states to get an idea of political allegiance. 20 counties totaling 10,000 people are still fewer people than 1 million in 1 county.
The House of Representatives exists so that one representative represents his individual district, not his state. What you're suggesting is the purpose of the US Senate. And since the mid-1960's, all Congressional districts in this country must have similar population sizes. Tom Rice's job is to represent the 7th Congressional District of South Carolina, not Charleston, not Columbia, not Greenville and certainly not any other state. What you're suggesting is exactly why GOPe Republicans are scumbags. Their concept of what is the prevailing attitude of this country is determined by the mainstream media, which in turn means they'd rather placate DC and NYC elitists than listen to their constituents back home in Dixie or flyover country.

If he failed in your "pardon" criteria, too fricking bad. It has nothing to do with "yes men". It has to do with being a patriot.
You have already made up your mind.
What I am saying is that if Trump felt that an injustice was being done to those participating in the Jan. 6 debacle (sound better than insurrection), he had the power as POTUS to pardon whomever he saw fit. That not me being partisan, that's actually a fact laid out in our Constitution. He didn't do so because he simply did not see it as worth the effort. And that is perfectly acceptable, but be honest about it.
I use the term Yes-men because that is honestly the type of person Trump wants. You can argue the ethics of it, but it's not illegal.
Chris Krebs, Mark Esper, the " Resignation" of Aaron Burr. You could go on with the number he let go just because of a simple disagreement.

Oh STFU, Commie.
You fricking democrats went around threatening your own people to vote guilty in Trump’s first hoax impeachment trial. One democrat was so disgusted by it that he completely left the party.
This latest impeachment is nothing but a Stalinist show trial. They didn’t even present evidence. So yeah, if an elected official charged with upholding the rule of law votes to convict a man sans evidence, he needs to be censured.

Color me confused. Why wouldn't it simply be the case that Trump disavows any illegal acts having occurred on January 6th? He stated so in no uncertain terms, and I'm sure not too many people disagree with that position.

The DC power structure wants yes men. They're just better at using propaganda and euphemistic language to convey that than Trump, who is a bombastic arse. Marjorie Taylor Greene was stripped of committee assignments for wrongthink. Multiple prominent Democrats have argued that Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley should be expelled for wrongthink. Conservatives on social media are being censored for wrongthink. Biden has ordered the military to oversee a purge of soldiers for wrongthink. The American political establishment is ground zero for yes men, it's just the media you watch and believe is simply a mouthpiece for those same people.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Esper was let go because he disagreed with our withdrawal from Afghanistan so he was slow-rolling the process. His replacement ALSO disagreed with the withdrawal and that was common knowledge, but he pledged to carry out the president’s directions and not try to sabotage the effort.

This dishonesty right here^^^
You people keep running around saying “Muh 5 people died” in hopes that people will falsely believe that protesters murdered 5 people.
The only person known to have died from violence that day was a female Air Force veteran shot by a police officer.

Most Americans do not see the Jan.6 incident as a joke, it is being taken very seriously with investigations still ongoing and while not everyone will get arrested, some already have
A lot of Americans still believe Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election and that Russia actually changed votes.
It’s amazing what you can make people believe when you have a corporate mass media pushing a narrative.

And how did our country get this divided? Was that because of Trump or the fact that your side spent the past five years attacking the man and his supporters over everything?

Good, because at this point I believe liberals to be traitors to this country. I want no compromise with those evil assholes.
The time for conflict is way past due IMO.

It's partially what our constitutional republic is based on...Representation!
If you weren't a democratic shitstain you would know that.
