IMO there's been two big games that have really change the direction of our team: Both Pacers games. In the first game we had a big lead late, and unfortunately lost. It killed all momentum and the team chemistry we were trying to build, was destroyed. We go on to lose a bunch of games.

Yesterday night we had a big lead, and the Pacers came back to take the lead. And I was watching the Pacers broadcast and they were constantly saying how the deficit did not matter because the Pels always gave up big leads and lose. We could've backed down lost the game like the first time. But we fought back and won a close game on the road against a playoff team.

Then tonight we're neck and neck with Memphis through 3 and we start the fourth quarter cold. Get down 7. It could've been like the Kings game where we only scored 15 in the fourth. But no we came roaring back and won by 9.

Our confidence is coming. We've won two straight close games. You love to see it happen for our young team.

Also shoutout Hayes. Lost his rotation spot for now, but still is consistently up and cheering for his teammates.

Out of the loop, but why didn’t NAW play?

Because he's been colder than JJ so they decided to try Kira in his minutes and it worked out better.

And who caused that? Lonzo! His defense has really come around lately, something we didn’t see last year

Zion says he feels like he and BI have stepped up defensively: "When the team sees us playing hard on that end, it really gets everybody going."

Not going to lie. I was extremely frustrated at SVG for not implementing an offensive scheme and below average defense. But these past 3 games has changed my mind.

Eh, Kira did a couple of nice things, and I know we all loved seeing him out there, but he didn't exactly light the world on fire out there. Part of his +/- rating of -16 was that he was mainly out there with the reserves, and Hernangomez really did not play well (if he's going to play like that, we'd be better off playing Hayes). But Kira is small, and there were a couple of times when he just bounced off bigger guys while trying to defend. I think that Griffin was right when he said that Kira needs to gain 15 pounds.

I think that part of the decision to play him over NAW last night was that NAW simply doesn't have the foot speed to effectively guard Ja, and Kira does. Kira did a pretty good job of staying in front of Ja, and that's hard to do.

All I'm saying is that I don't necessarily think that this was a permanent change. In my opinion, NAW is a better defender right now against bigger guards.

For example, Kira would give up 40 pounds to John Wall on Tuesday. I'm just not sure that Kira's strong enough to handle that assignment.

Maybe it's because they were hiding him since he's a rookie, but Kira was playing like a free safety roving the passing lanes. Often his assignment was guarding the corner 3 shooter and because he's fast enough to recover, he was usually way off his man waiting to deflect a pass or rotate to help. We'll have to see how that holds up against a better team that moves more. Will he look like ball watching Zion, or will his super speed let him get away with it?

If it's something he can get away with, roving Kira + engaged BI with his long arms will lead to a lot of disruption of the passing lanes.

Don’t know if it was just media speak but when he got drafted here he (Zion) said this is one of the organizations he wanted to come to the most. I don’t think his personality would be good in a place like LA or NY. He’s laid back, family first, and comes from a small town like BI.

I don't follow him, but sometimes see some of his tweets when the Pels dudes I do follow reply to him.

I'm seeing some of them today saying they blocked him and denounce whatever he did last night.

That dude is just hated wherever he goes, and he always thinks it's everyone else's fault, not his.

That was a perfect way to describe him, as a free safety.

He has a great basketball iq. You are really starting to see it.
